If you're resealing your engine this is the seal you want. I installed it on my 86 f250 with an idi engine and it fit exact. This unit has a repair sleeve that slides over the crank tightly. It's common on engines that an oil seal wears into a sealing surface. Thus a new seal alone won't fix your issue. With this kit you install a wear sleeve then the seal. Making sure your engine no longer leaks oil. Install is more advanced as it's a pain to remove a transmission in the first place. It's necessary to be careful installing the sleeve as you don't want to bend it and it needs to be on straight. This is the fix you want when doing a rear main seal.

good quality. i was expecting just a seal, this has a ware ring/sleeve with it. still worked out, but make sure you have the proper tooling
