I truly can't believe I've gone as long as I have without these!! In the last few months I've been doing a lot of wiring for a hobby project, and screw terminals have felt like the bane of my existence when it comes to that, but WHAT A GAME CHANGER these ferrels are! These are so easy to assemble and use, and take ALL of the headache out of screw terminals.Bonus points for the packaging -- a nice little binder that holds the tool and the case of pieces. With a multi language instruction manual. Excellent product!!

Just got about an hour ago.The crimper feels really good in the hand, has a lever under one of the handles to release, very nice. Slight problem with the fact it uses a Philips screw to adjust with, however that's really not a big deal. The ferrules themselves seem alright. Compared to another set I got, these have a shine while my others are dull. Slight issue with how these ferrules do not match the color with my other set. I'm not sure if there is a standard for the colors, but my ocd doesn't allow me to mix the ones that are the same size. The ferrules will stay in the box they came in for now. This did come in a actual really nice case for me. I got a blue and black case, not sure if they do other colors. Holds the crimper and the box of ferrules very well, and the zipper, zips flawlessly.I have just got these, so my opinion my change. When I have a chance to use them I will try to post an update. However at the current time of typing this, I would say these very good for the price, but time will tell.

Edit 11/7/2020: I've been using this set for a couple of weeks at work. I'm still impressed at how easy it is to apply the ferrules, and how well the ferrules hold onto the wire. I've since bought some double ferrules of various sizes (other vendors), and some more of the larger sized ferrules since 25 of the 8 awg (10mm2, which they say is 7awg?) didn't last me very long. I work for a solar/HVAC/electrical contractor, and I've been using the kit almost daily. The only issue I've had, and it isn't a fault of this setup, is that the 10awg ferrules don't hold at all in Wago/lever nuts. That really is fine, because the Wagos are listed for use with stranded and fine stranded conductors without ferrules anyway.Using ferrules on stranded wire before connecting to a breaker or ground/neutral bar seems to give a superior contact pad. I've sacrificed some 12 and 14awg ferrules to test pull-out performance, but I haven't spent any $ on a calibrated pull gauge. I might update this review if I ever do. I tried to upload a video, but AMZN seems to have a problem with my file. I might try to get another video later this week.Original review:This tool is great! It worked perfectly right out of the box, and I didn't have to adjust the crimp force. I used it to redo some stranded 20awg and 10awg wire connections around my house. It went from one size to the other seamlessly and without fuss. I like the variety of ferrules it came with, but I can see I will need to stock up if I want to use them for everything (which I will). It will definitely help to set my work apart from those who don't use a ferrules in their work.Buy it. It's worth it.

Let me start by stating that I own several ferrule crimpers, both square and shoelace. This is by far, my new favorite [square] ferrule crimper!Pros:~ The crimp tool feels very sturdy, with a nice soft grip that accommodates my larger hands quite well.~ The included ferrules are excellent quality! Out of the handful of each that I tested, every one tests at 0R resistance. They are flexible, but not so flexible that they’ll easily tear during the crimping process.~The ferrules are sized accurately to the American Wiring Gauge standard.~Unlike some even more expensive brands that utilize sneaky verbiage to describe their products, Preciva is completely honest in their description of their product.~The price! I would expect to pay double the current price for this well packaged kit. They even included a well laid out and easy to read multi-page manual which will really help newcomers to ferrules and how to utilize them.Cons:~Doesn’t make delicious waffles.I’m including a photo of several gauges of wire, all “car audio” OFC which is slightly oversized but still managed to squeeze into the ferrules just fine. In order; 8awg, 12awg, 14awg, 16awg and 18awg primary wire. Again, all OFC and all slightly oversized to the AWG standard. They all fit snug and crimped perfect, every time.TL;DR:Excellent product and an amazing price! My recommendation is to buy these now before they realize they can sell them for a lot more than their current asking price!

Excellent crimpers. They work great for the entire range of wires I deal with on a day to day basis and give a nice clean ferrule every time. My only complaint would be that the handles feel...flimsy, in a material sense? I'm not sure that is the right term because structurally they are stable and give great leverage without any shifting or flexing. It is simply the material itself feels like the material in lots of other tools I have previously owned that broke. That said, for the money, it is 130% of what I expected. If the manufacturer offers a more premium version with heavier duty material in the handle..I would buy it in a heartbeat, keep these as my in-shop loaner/backup set, and still feel it was a great bargain.
