Was able to load old HDD. 2.5 Sata, 3.5 IDE, if it ask you to choose from MBR and GUID and want to recover files, close that and don’t choose anything , then try to recover partition with a 3rd party software.If you just want to format hard drive then choose ( 2TB = GPT / GUID )

This is a great connector for multiple types of hard drives. I used it to pull hard drives out of old laptops to save files and photos for my wife. It even worked for a 15 year old drive I put on a self to get to later.

I bought this thing awhile back and just got around to using it. Sucks to be me because it's just not stable. Sitting by itself driving nothing it has problems communicating on the USB bus (mainly refusing the address the host assigns it) and occasionally disconnects entirely. It's somehow *less* stable when using the power supply it came with. Perhaps aim a little higher or take your chances.

Works well but the drives feel a bit loose when connected so you must be careful not to bump it.

Very convenient product without the need to put the hard drive into an enclosure. You can plug in multiple drive too and it will work because it has a separate power adapter that can power all of the drives that is plugged in. I recommend using this over the enclosure for people who fix computer a lot like myself to speed things up.
