Honestly I would go for the bigger kit. I'll go and buy the another full bigger kit before I end up buying more of them separately. Field peice really just jacks the price up so much buying some of the kits as singles. I'm only giving it a 4 stars because of that. I still love these though I just wish I did the maths before buying this smaller kit

This is a game changer for HVAC work. No more refrigerant losses when taking readings. No more trying to read the gage to get it roughly accurate. No more struggles to get reliable temp reading. Ability to readout values from a distance on an easy to read app. This pays for itself in time saved, refrigerant losses, accuracy and "Tool Pride"! Costs a lot but well worth it. My only negative is the apps available limit their features unless you subscribe to a service and I hate subscription scams. Still the basic free app that comes with is adequate for a hobbyist or part time HVAC guy and your company will buy the subscription if you work for a legit company.

Perfect for the hvac diagnostic guy. Recommend buying service ts so you charge or switch off to vac gauge. Highly recommend. Best unit and the app is simple. But I love you don’t need a sub to upload pdf data or live data. Also love they us aaa batteries instead of dedicated lithium.

Fieldpiece makes the best tools hands down for HVAC/r. I know the old timers are anti-technology and all that but using my sman 480v in tandem with my probes, you can dial in a charge damn near perfectly and probably faster. Almost everything I use is Fieldpiece tools. Have the multimeter, sman480v, this kit, the probes, and soon I will have the new scale. Great products and they stand behind them 100%. Buy them and thank me later.

I already had purchased the air probe, and wasn't sure I'd use two (have since bought 2 more), so went with this after I was rather impressed by the air probe and its ease of use. This is my go-to kit now, and use it daily. Most of my colleagues have also purchased this or the full kit after having seen my kit in use. I also have the swan480 for what its worth. I use that when I have to charge or given various circumstances. This kit is nice in that I can set it up at an evaporator and set up the 480 at the condenser and get a broader view of system operations.
