The good: sturdy, very easy to assemble - no tools required.The bad: only fits cab or merlot bottles. Chardonnay and pinot bottle do not really fit properly and as a result you can not put two bottles of this type adjacent to each other.

Arrived in perfect shape, and the materials are of sound quality. Almost too easy to assemble -- took me 5 minutes -- although the instructions included are misleading: you have to start with the base row, which isn't shown until Step 4. Sturdy enough for me, but then, I have the rack on the floor. The rack WILL accommodate the stouter 750 ml Petite Sirah/Chardonnay/Pinot Noir bottles -- but only if you don't seat them two abreast. Since I'm mostly a Cab/Zin/Riesling kind of guy, this is no big deal for me, but if you're a 100% chardonnay devotee, you might want to look elsewhere. Otherwise enthusiastically recommended!

This was great to store on the bottom/floor shelf of pantry! Loved the light natural color, easy to assemble, sturdy!

I used only the 2 pairs of rails and one set of cross pieces. Seems stable with this set up and as you can see, I don’t have room for the full set up. Stores bottle slightly cork down, as preferred. Very pleased with this

Easy to put together. Very sturdy. Holds bottles at the right angle. Easy to add to.

Thanks to the person who recommended the rubber hammer.And thanks to the person who recommended glue - otherwise you have to put them in the space where they belong. You cannot move them (with the wine in place) or they'll fall apart. They're very sturdy, but not to be moved without glue.I bought two 12 bottle racks figuring I could stack them, and that was possible, but the design only allows you to stack 5 rows. I've got a spare set of racks for the bottles but no cross pieces. Duh!And the previous comments are correct - you cannot put a Burgundy bottle in one slot and a Bordeaux bottle in the next. Since I like Burgundy I had to allow for the empty slots.

This wine rack is awesome! I live in a small place and the only spot to properly store wine was on the bottom of a pantry closet that had permanent shelves. Since I wanted to store as many bottles as possible, I ordered this since it maximized the available space. Not only is it of nice quality, but I was able to put it together in less than 2 minutes. If you have a spot that would be hard to fit a wine rack in after assembly or need room to maneuver a rack in...this is perfect. Doesn't require screws, so can be put together in a tight space. PLUS...this rack can have additional layers added on later if need be, so is very practical.
