I am rebuilding a 350000 mile Ford F 250 super duty from the frame up and the fire extinguisher bracketing I installed new with the truck at original up fitting is going to the scrap yard. This new unit is solidly built features easy installation with included mounting hardware and has great straps with the kit. My new 20 lb. extinguisher fits snug and is held securely in place. I anticipate at least a decade of dependable service from this new unit as the build quality is superb.

I have an old Halon fire extinguisher that I keep in the shed with the lawn mower. There's a couple of cans of gas in there too and I figure it's a good idea to have an extinguisher there. There wasn't a way to mount it securely and I had it on the floor. I was afraid that if it was on a shelf and fell off, the valve would break off releasing all of the halon.I found this mount and thought I'd try it. The fire extinguisher is 14 lbs. and it fits perfectly on it. The straps hold it securely too.I think the only drawback to this holder maybe the straps. I'm not sure how fast I can remove them to get the fire extinguisher free if there is a fire.If you have a larger size extinguisher than you need to mount on a wall, give this holder a try.
