Bought this for the solo stove Yukon . Fits and looks good . Mine came without any hinge, or ring to open the top screen . Requested a replacement.No option to contact seller .I’ll update review if the new one comes as shown . Otherwise that one will go back as well.The hinge is needed so you don’t have to remove the top screen to load .UPDATE: Second one arrived. Same as the first (No hinge) . Back it goes

We love to have family bonfires and grill hot dogs and marshmallows outdoors. The problem is that we have many little ones running around, and it always makes me nervous to have them near an open flame. This fire pit protector is made for a Yukon stove but is not limited to use only with that brand, as we have been using it with our regular firepit. It completely surrounds the fire to keep stray embers from floating freely and escaping. When you want to make contact with the flame, simply open the top lid. The perimeter guard remains for protection. You can also use the open lid to add more firewood. Two removing accessories come with it and securely wrap around the handles on the core. The ends are heat-resistant wood, making removing or placing the entire unit easy and safe. It is sturdy and durable and looks nicely contained, whether used on a Yukon grill or otherwise.

Bought this to prevent sparks and embers from coming out of the firepit and burning my clothes. The wire is so spread out I would say 95% of the embers make it through, which defeats the purpose of this item.

I bought this primarily because I had a run of crappy firewood for my solo stove, it popped a few times and burned a hole in my father in law's jacket. Don't do that... but as you can see, run a huge flame with no problems, I give this 5 stars and it stores and travels well.

Not that I really needed it. But with all the crazy fires happening in Texas. Having an extra layer of protection, isn't a bad idea.For the majority of time we almost never see flying embers come from our pit. But lately we have been getting these wild wind gust that sometimes stoke the fire. I'd say it is better to be safe than sorry.Please Note that the screen is not the thickest of material, but will work for the time being. The two things that I like about this screen cover is 1) it has a hinge on the cover so that it is easy to open and close and 2) that it sit high and wide enough if that you add long pieces wood it won't impede being closed. Overall is has a good design and works like intended. Highly recommended.
