It has a UL 1-Hour Class 350 Fire Rating and undergoes exhaustive testing procedures passing both fire and explosion hazard tests conducted by Underwriters Laboratories, which expose the file to temperatures of 1700 degrees for one hour resulting in the internal temperature not exceeding 350 degrees. With the UL Impact Rating, it will survive a loaded fall of 30 feet and maintain fire protection. FireKing’s steel lattice reinforcement offers this impact protection on all six sides. Oven-dried Gypsum Insulation is asbestos-free, dry insulation that will maintain protection properties for a lifetime, and completely eliminate corrosion. An electrostatic powder coated finish is applied to all sides including the bottom. The finish is scratch-resistant, providing a lifetime quality appearance. The file features field-Replaceable Steel Panels. In the event that any panel is damaged, it can be easily replaced. Insulation between all drawers makes each drawer a separate insulated container. Drawers are built with high sides for use with hanging folders – no additional frames are required. A lock by pass features a two-position drawer catch, which allows access to certain drawers, while drawers containing sensitive information remain locked. This is our sixth Fireking cabinet. Using it to store permanent records at City Hall instead of bankers boxes. Feel so much better knowing the records are safe now. Great customer service. Checked to ensure I was aware of the weight of the cabinet before sending.

Will not recommend this product. Key Lock can be opened, not secured. To Return this product will be very difficult since it is so heavy it is the responsibility of the customer to bring the item to the drop off location. You will need a lot of people & a heavy equipment to move this cabinet.

My product was damaged during shipping but it was just cosmetic on the metal shell. Fireking replaced the panels at no charge. Drawers are smooth and they hang folders perfectly. The lock works and this cabinet does everything it was promised to so far. Hopefully I will never have a fire where I test that feature out!

This was deal I could not pass up. Cheaper than major brand store and free delivery. It was in my garage within three days. Wow. It came very well packed on a small mini pallet. Perfect.

Wonderful product......very heavy so can't "just walk" out of your office and you don't have to worry about important information being lost if there is a fire...….this is our 3rd fireproof filing cabinet!
