Eh! Sandokan, si (Film per ragazzi dalla Storia di EMILIO SALGARI) possedeva uno strumento simile, ma il suo aveva altri scopi. Non giunge molto affilato e questo va bene, perchè questo strumento non è da TAGLIO da Giardino, ma da Silvicoltura. Se si ha la necessità di avere una Lama piu affilata è una propizia occasione per acquistare qui in Amazon due Pietre da Affilatura e darsi da fare per apprendere la Nobile Arte dell?Arrotino. -- Io ho mani grandi e avevo bisogno di uno strumento da lavoro sicuro, per lavoro in Bosco, con una impugnatura solida e stabile: ho gia molti strumenti di FISKARS (Mentalità Nordica Scandinava) quindi sono andato sul sicuro. Ho acquistato questo MACHETE da BOSCO senza leggere troppo, mi sono fidato. Possedevo gia il MACHETE ASCIA.UN Vantaggio che ho osservato al primo colpo: permettere impugnatura con UNA SOLA MANO. ma se occorre si puo impugnare anche con due mani. Cosa altro? il PARADITO per la Sicurezza (Mentalità Scandinava, Sicurezza sempre al primo posto). Un altro vantaggio che pochi noteranno: la SVASATURA FINALE al Manico e insieme della fine Lama: fa si che anche nei colpi piu robusti la vibrazione si diriga la dove deve andare e il machete no scappi via dalla mano per rotazione contraria.Tagli di precisione: il progettista ha voluto costruire l'impugnatura in maniera ESTESA, per i tagli di precisione. Quando si ha a che fare con la precisione la Mano riesce a slittare verso la lama. Il Bordo allargato e la Estensione di questa impugnatura permettono questo movimento. Quando si torna a lavorare con Forza la Mano rientra indietro dove stava prima. Con i Tagli di Precisione, invece, la Mano si approssima alla Lama.Voglio allora descrivere l'utilità, per una presa salda, delle Fossette disegnate sull'Impugnatura. Sto dedicando molti pensieri all'Impugnatura, perchè con questo Strumento io lavoro per ore nei Boschi e nei Campi Abbandonati Inselvatichiti, infestati da Rovi Liane, Piante Opportuniste, Vitigni in libertà risaliti sui Rovi. Piante e Macchia Cespugliosa dal fusto spesso anche qualche centimetro, alte fino a otto metri.Un lavoro di Potenza e di lunghe Ore: l'Impugnatura qui fa osservare tutti questi vantaggi.La Lama, che mi ricorda la Spada dI Sandokan (la Scimitarra) ha un disegno curvo, non rettilineo con la testa ad Allargare (piu larga del fusto) con i Buchi. Il motivo di questo disegno? Per non rimanere agganciati alla vegetazione folta e intricata. Questo Machete nasce per il Bosco, non per il Giardino e per il taglio di Tessuti Vegetali Fibrosi, Coriacei, Resinosi e quindi resistenti.E' un machete che porto con me in Zaino quando mi dedico al ripristino, restauro e quindi riscoperta e riabilitazione di una Via (Camminamento) Agreste e Forestali in Campagna e in Montagna dimenticate e abbandonate, come quelle del CAI (Club Alpino Italiano)

Product is well made good quality but I have us a little disappointed with the sharpness I had to sharpen it a little bit more myself it was a little doll when it came in other than that it is a great product

Came sharp and works well but I ruined the blade using my Dremel sharpening kit. That kit worked perfectly for my hedge trimmers but FUBAR the machete. So make sure you get the right sharpener for it.

This was a fantastic tool with great weight distribution. Easy to swing, and doesn't take much out of the user. I've been using this mostly for reeds and Long Grass, but have not had an issue taking it to small branches. Overall the best thing about the Fiskars brand is that they come with a lifetime warranty, and can be swapped out at your local Home Depot free of charge. Overall one of the best gardening tools I own.

I got a chance to try it out a week ago. First, the blade does not come sharp, and I ordered the Fiskars axe sharpener. Maybe it will work better then. The blade is a little thinner, and more flexible than I am use to with my Condor machete. The handle turns in my hand when using gloves, it might not with bare hands, or thinner gloves. I considered returning it, but the shipping costs are prohibitive. Guess I'll just keep it for lightweight work.

If you buy this tool and have never had one...work with it a little. Initially i didn't like the feel, and I put it down and picked my axe back up. But I started using this to pare down branches from trees I cut down and I just love this thing now and can't do without it. I cut some large trees in big chunks for chopping blocks and if you get a branch, even over an inch sometimes edged to the chopping block just right this thing just dices it, no problem. Fiskar axe and this thing are just fantastic 'wood working' tools!

I used this Machete to clean an entire hillside of overgrown weeds and misery. I even used it to kill a Copperhead when it slithered out from underneath a rock and tried to bite me. Fortunately, I had this amazingly sharp and sweet looking Machete in hand and I pulled a Samurai move and cut the bugger in half. It was amazing.Also, as a side benefit of owning one of these things your voice will deepen and you will instantly grow a lumberjack beard. I was impressed because I could make eyes with the chubby blue-haired barista at the Starbucks a lot easier. 10/10 would purchase again.
