In the past I have actually custom made this exact piece because I didn't know that it was available for purchase. It is quite sturdy and does exactly what it should. If you want extra sealing you can silicone with temperature resistant material the gap where the cylinder meets the flat surface. This does what it should and for the price is quite nice considering you don't have to Weld anything and it's all done for you. I definitely will be purchasing more for future projects.

I liked that it had enough depth to clear the floor and insulation with enough space sticking out to seal around. It wasn’t welded perfectly round but still not to bad for a 5-3/8” hole saw cut. I would buy again if needed.

The four tack welds holding it together are some of the worst welds I have seen, one never even penetrated . If I didn’t have a welder I would return it .

This plate is being used to mount a heater in a van with an insulated floor. The extension is long enough to reach all the way through the foam and floor of the van. All of the holes line up ok with a Chinese diesel heater. There are four tack welds that hold the extension to the mounting plate. This is strong enough for what it's being used for.
