Perfect amount of light for courtesy illumination. Blue has a nice color to it. Light is well made, appears to be very well sealed from water.

More like 2.75"I was replacing 3" lights and wanted to hide any discoloration/damage from the old lights.These just barely covered.Screws to mount are tiny and the o-ring that is supposed to be the seal probably isn't going to seal much up against the hole that you drill to mount these. If you need it to be sealed to prevent leakage to a cabin plan on using a sealant.

I ordered these lights to replace one on my boat that had failed. The light dropped right in and had it wired up in no time. The light seems to be of good quality and the stainless ring is nice. I would use this product again when I am in need.
