I purchased this same type of crankset on aliexpress. The pictures show a high quality forged crankset. The reality is that it's a swaged crankset (the crank arm is riveted to the spider with a huge aluminum rivet that adds a lot to the weight and makes the crankset much weaker). I gave the aliexpress crankset a poor review and apparently, this crankset is the same.It's a typical chinese supplier technique. Send some nice high-quality samples to get the business, then substitute lower quality parts and hope the customer doesn't complain. Well, I am complaining.

I have nothing against this brand on Amazon as at least some of their other products seem solid, but this isn't one of them. Installation was easy and they look great, but there was quickly a bit of play between the right crank arm and the crankset (which felt sketchy when riding). On most cranksets this is one piece, in this case it is two, and they just aren't connected as well as they should be. Additionally, even when using plenty of grease on the pedals and only tightening them with a short wrench, the pedals now seem seized to these cranks. All looks and no function.

They were made out of one solid piece of machine aluminum. But now they are actually two pieces together, not nearly as good.

The machining and finish is fantastic. Beautifully threaded pedal threads, and the square taper fits perfectly on my bottom bracket. The whole assembly is very lightweight as well.My only issue is the drive side (as mentioned in another review) is made with separate parts and held together with an aluminum lock ring, it is not milled out of a single piece. It may not be an issue, but it doesn’t appear that way in product photos.I’m not expecting it to be the toughest crankset on earth, and it seems to be holding up well so far, but I’d probably only use these on a cruiser/single speed bike for lighter riding. I’d be a little weary using them on a fixie especially if you are an aggressive rider.

The finish on these is amazing! I hope they are as durable as they are good looking. They don't come with crank bolt covers, so you'll have to buy a separate set of those.

I've owned it for 4 months with regular riding and it appears to be in super solid shape. My bike mechanic wanted to know immediately where to find it when I had him instill, he was so impressed with the quality.
