This circular light consists of 132 small LEDs arranged in a circle on the bottom of the unit. There are three light intensities you can choose from (low, medium and high). On the top of the unit, there are a series of solar cells responsible for converting light into an electric current to charge the internal battery.Its main purpose is to sit atop a flag pole and down-illuminate the flag below. In its center, is a hole where you can push the flagpole through.I've left the light outside where it would get direct sunlight for 24 hours, then turned it on to the brightest light level and it shone throughout the night with no problem! It was definately bright as all 132 LEDs were outputting light at the same time.I'm using my light for another purpose other than illuminating a flagpole. I'm using mine to illuminate my outdoor metal table at night. I am designing a converter piece that will attach this light to my table's umbrella pole. In that way, the light will illuminate my outdoor table as it gets dark.This light appears to be well made and I'm hoping it will last for a few good years. It can be used to illuminate a flag pole or whatever you can think of- with a little imagination and engineering! The only thing it requires is several hours of direct sunlight on its solar panels to shine bright all night. I also appreciate that there are several levels of light output to choose from.I feel that it's a good buy at the current price and I'm satisfied with this unit, so I highly recomend it!

Easy instal and set up. I installed on a 6-7 feet flag pole with good sunlight exposure for 7-8 hrs and set it to medium light. It lights up the flag almost 8-9 hrs in the night time. Works well .

The light fit perfectly in the pole.. and illumination is incredible. I placed it in my RV and you can see the Flag from about 1/4 mile. Sure helps in the middle of the Dark desert Night. Great Purchase.

This seems like a quality product. Lights very bright comlared to others I have had. Time will tell as the issue I have had with others is the solar panel being destroyed by the uv sunlight and they won't charge anymore or very little due to the panel material becoming opaque.

UPDATE: +2 Stars … I took this unit back down and discovered 2 things. #1 There is a very thick clear plastic film protecting the solar panels when you receive it. I saw this the first time and could not find an obvious edge or tab to remove it and no sticker on it saying "Remove before use". I have pulled films from solar panels before which were Not to be removed so I just assumed this was the case. Not so, make sure you peel this film off prior to installing, or the charging is weakened .... and you only get a few hours out of a charge. I did open it up, and the battery is not a replaceable cell, but a hard-wired battery at 2600Mah, so this is essentially a disposable unit when it wears out unfortunately. I checked last night (or this morning) around 2:15AM, and the light was still on from probably around 9PM?This Solar Led pole topper is well constructed and I pre-charged it in a sunny window before installing on the pole. It has 3 brightness levels you can select prior to installing at the top of your pole. I chose the brightest to start, figuring I could make adjustments if it didn't last long enough into the night. After seeing how dim the brightest setting was from the top of the pole I couldn't imagine the purpose of lowering the light any further. It seemed okay the first night and the entire next day was sunny all day. That evening it came on probably around 8 or 8:15PM and when I glanced out at 11 PM it was dead as a door nail and I don't know when exactly that was, but 3 hours of operation on a full sunny day cahrging is Totally Unacceptable in my book. I may check and see if I can buy a larger battery if it is replaceable in the unit, but that of course won't happen until I lower the pole once again to take a look. Of my pictures th close up is quite enhanced automatically by my iPhone, so I went out farther away and what you see in the distant shot if quite acurate for how this appears on the High Setting, hence, I would not even consider the medium or low setting on this thing. More Power Please!!

The solar light works great. It didn't fit my flagpole. The whole was too small. While I'm trying to sort out how I'm going to get it on the flagpole I put it on one of our tress and it shines a great light. So that part works perfectly.I am going to find a way to get it on the pole because it is a great solar light for the flag.
