The only thing I liked was the way it looked - the overall appearance. Other than that, it was too expensive, too heavy, and too much trouble to assemble. It did not come with enough wooden screws, and it was impossible to assemble without the aid of an electric drill. I did assemble it and will keep it because they will not take it back since I did assemble it. I do not recommend it to anyone.

I bought this for use as a stand to hold my book when serving liturgy and to hold any notes when preaching. My own preference would be for a solid wood one, but I couldn't find anything suitably priced for a new church plant. It's much more solid than a music stand, which I like.I found this stand to be about as expected: it's unobtrusive and easy to move around, even with the heavy top. The adjustable feet are a nice touch to deal with uneven floors in old buildings.I have three suggested improvements:1. it'd be nice if they included some thread-locking adhesive on the bolts and inserts that hold the base together. I'm worried they'll work loose over time as the stand is moved around and then leave it rickety. I applied some blue threadlocker of my own to prevent this.2. The pencil stop is a metal bracket attached to the underside and extending up through a slot in the top. I wish it protruded a bit more on the top (beyond the current 1/4"), to better hold a book or, more importantly, two books stacked on top of each other. I'll probably pick up some anodized angle aluminum to replace the included one to get another 1/2" or so of height on it.3. The number of screws provided is sufficient to screw the top to the base and the pencil stop to the top, but there are not enough to screw into ALL the predrilled holes. Two holes will not have screws, IIRC. I'd feel better with ALL the predrilled holes used to for the top's attachment to the base. Add two more screws, OK? I'd use my own, but had no black ones of the required size.Nice stand, though. I'm happy.

Not recommended. It leans so far left that even with the maximum height adjustment on the left foot, and the minimum on the right foot, it still leans left. Moreover, the lip stopping your material sliding off the top surface really is only about as deep as a pencil. That is fine if you just have a few papers, perhaps, but it feels precarious if you are using a thick, heavy binder. The feet are not moveable relative to the top, so I fear tripping over the front foot. Finally, this is a HEAVY lectern. I gave it 3 stars because the height is adjustable such that even I with my astigmatism can read from it.

This product is so great! I’m using it for my grandfather because he is my officiant at my wedding. This was super easy to put together and it’s very sturdy and beautiful! I love it and would definitely recommend this to another person if they are needing a podium! I also got it super fast!

This is perfect! It's not to heavy to carry to meetings (remove top from bottom to conveniently fit in trunk). Top is screwed onto stand (top piece), but it actually makes it easy to handle and carry. Top easily slides out of base (where you see the hand/tightening screw [in picture]). Top is nice and large; my computer and mouse/trackball fits nicely on surface with plenty of room left over, even though my laptop is a larger one. I haven't found anything bad about this. It's exactly what I wanted and works perfectly. My main concern was the weight, because I've used similar ones that were over 25 lbs and that's a little heavy to carry along to every meeting. I would guess this one is around 10 lbs or so. Easy to assemble too! Basically attaching 2 pieces to the base foot and then attaching the top surface to top stand pole. That's it.

I needed a podium for work and came across this one at Amazon for a reasonable price. It came in and my wife put it together for me because she likes to put things together. Everything you need to put it together is in the box. It took her about 20 minutes and low and behold a nice podium that is very sturdy and height adjustable! I love the podium and will use it at work, if you need a podium get this one it is very good!

Fit my needs perfectly. Easy to put together, light weight and easily portable yet sturdy enough for a good sized man like myself to lean on if needed.

I purchased this item for use at an off site wedding over which I was to preside.I found the price to be very reasonable considering the quality of the product. It is easy to assemble, easy to break down into two pieces and put back together, and the height has a very good range which is also easily adjusted with the twistof a knob. There are adjustable balance levels on the four legs to prevent wobblingand it is sturdy enough to support me when I lean forward on it to speak. Its looksare quite attractive as well and it has a pencil ledge to hold documents in place. The wood grain is of fine quality as well. Its width is also perfect and hold a bindersized book open comfortably. Also, if you are a preacher or public speaker, this isperfect for practicing at home before speaking - even if you're using a differentlectern or pulpit when you speak at your venue. This is the best portable lectern I have ever used. I highly recommend it.
