Can't speak to the functionality of the motor as I haven't searched for an X-mount that fits so I can test it. When the mount is centered on the motor the mounting holes don't line up. If I align teo of the mounting holes, it's off center by quite a bit & the opposite side mounting holes don't remotely align.

Higher quality components than some other brushless motors… I run these in combat robotics which is the most rigorous application one can use these for, and I’ve never had a magnet or bearing shatter.

More than enough power for my Top Model 1.86M sailplane - using a 650mAh 4s battery driving a 9x8 folding propeller. Not super quiet but not very loud either. Very happy with this purchase.

My young son and I use these D2836 1500KV's with a 40A ESC and 3S 2200mah batteries to fly numerous fixed wing RC aircraft with different engine configurations(i.e. pusher, tractor, multi-engine) . Most of the configurations are flown with 9x6 or 8x6x3 props. The motors are real workhorses and for the price you can't beat them. I have not had any problems running them through numerous flights during the day at 70% throttle and occasional 100% bursts. They have withstood numerous crashes without any serious damage. The only time I've had a bad one, was right out of the box. It would run in a staggered "Stepper Motor" condition. Obviously this one was missed during a QC check. I will continue to buy more of these in different configurations knowing, that so far , the reliability , performance and power are consistent with my requirements. Hope this rerview helps your decision making process a little easier.
