Bought this item to attach to the Spy Net Video Watch. The Video Watch was defective so I returned it and ordered a replacement watch. The second watch was defective also, so this Snake Cam is useless without a working watch. Until Spy Net can produce a watch that actually charges and works properly, DO NOT buy this camera.

I bought this item for my little brother's birthday (he's turning 10 the day after writing this review), I received this in the mail on time, in pretty good condition. However apparently I didn't really read into this well enough because after receiving it and reading the box, I realized that you also need the spy video watch for this product to work. I wish I had figured this out sooner because now I have to pay an additional $25 (plus shipping) for this to work.Anyone who is looking to buy this, just know you have to buy the watch too.

I was trying to fish a cable through a wall and my 12 year old came over and offered to let me use this to see if I could see the cable on his watch-tv.I tried it out, it worked! Amazing. I was able to see the end of the cable and get the job done. It's definitely cool.

My wife and I purchased this for our 5 year old son. He plays with it every now and then but its not one of his all time favorite toys. However I have used it to peak into walls and inside appliances that are broken several times, seriously this thing is more handy for me to have than it is for him :). It seems well built and should last a long while. The cord is a decent length such that you can hold the watch on your wrist and reach out with the other hand without it pulling on your arm.I rated this 4 out of 5 simply because the video quality is terrible, although still usable for many purposes, and is grainy most of the time. I rated it low for educational value because while it encourages pretend play it is limited in it use and I like toys to get more use and be less gimmicky.Overall if someone asked my opinion it would be positive but I'm not going to sell my friends on the idea that their children need one.

I received the following from my Grandson: Zoe loves the watch. We keep meaning to call you and have her tell you how cool it is. We just keep forgetting.. It is pretty cool for such a little camera. I think all those bad reviews were from people that didn't know much about computers. The battery can run down fast though but I have a USB cord to plug it in that can be plugged right in to the wall. You can even use the iPhone USB AC adapter to charge it. It is totally easy to use. Zoe has it down.

It works ok but the novelty soon wears off. We got it for Christmas and it provided 5 minutes of interest. It is supposed to double as a webcam but unfortunately the mini usb has a pin beside it so will not fit directly into the computer's usb port without an adapter. The poorly written instructions say the "dongle" with the camera will do the trick but alas they are incorrect. There is also a round thing on the wire which slides up and down but is not attached. What is that for?

This watch is remarkable...my 11 year old granddaughter found so many things to do and had a ball with this. I did purchase the camera but even without the camera..your child will have tons of fun...definitely worth EVERY penny..Cynthia
