The description says the base is galvanized, it is not. It is painted black.

This was the third hose reel I purchased to be mounted a on work truck bed. The first two were similarly priced. The first two both broke on the swivel, where the hose attached from the compressor. The swivel air fitting on this reel is better quality. Used daily for six weeks so far with no issues. I'd absolutely purchase this again if needed.

Pro: Nice and sturdy reel, hose is nice in cold weather.Con: it's a 1/2" hose with 3/8 pipe thread. Would be nice if it came with 1/2" for better flow with larger tools.
