Acrylic Pouring Art With Floetrol
The acrylic pouring technique has created some truly awesome pieces of art. Between the vibrant, complex color combinations and the dreamy, flowing patterns, artwork created through acrylic pouring can look absolutely stunning. Though these pieces seem intense and challengig, they're actually easy to create in the comfort of your own home. The materials are simple, as long as you have Flood Floetrol in the mix. Making gorgeous abstract art using the Acrylic Pour technique is easy and creates beautiful one of a kinsd results. This fun technique can also be applied to canvases, Ceramic Coasters, Wooden Plaques, Planters, Stainless Steel Tumblers and so much more. Additionally it only takes a few simple steps. ACRYLIC POURING - Step 1
- Mix 1 part Floetrol with 2 parts acrylic paint.
- Stir the mixture thoroughly.
- Add in 2-4 drops of liquid silicone.
ACRYLIC POURING - Step 2
Now, pour the colors you want in the painting layer by layer in one plastic cup. You will need to repeat this process with multiple cups depending on how many different colors and canvases you are painting.
ACRYLIC POURING - Step 3
Take the canvas (or other object) you’re about to paint on, flip it upside down and place it canvas-side down over the plastic cup. Keep the cup against the flat canvas surface, and flip them both at once so that the cup is facing down and the surface is facing up.
ACRYLIC POURING - Step 4
- When ready, lift the plastic cup filled with paint and it should all flow outward.C
- hange the direction and outcome of the painting by tilting the surface, using a paint brush to move colors, or using air sprayers to direct the paint.
- Let dry for 24 hours, ideally on an elevated surface so air can ventilate the bottom of the canvas as well.

Easy to use. Yes, do strain, though so far I have been lucky and no lumps. A staple for acrylic painting. It is inexpensive compared to a lot of other products used to increase flow. Color of paint is not affected unless you use a lot of the floetrol.

The floetrol is great. The bottles are not the best quality. They tend to leak around the edges of the cap. They work... but now I take the top off to pour
