Ordered this tail pipe set for my 69 gto. I had a full torque technologies 3 inch exhsust on my car for years. I recently replaced my mufflers and removed the tails. I decided to sell them and try turn downs. My cam is so lumpy that it rattles and vibrates too much. Since torque tech went out of business years ago I bought these. Although I havent installed them yet..will update later.... wanted to point a few things out in comparison with torque technologies. Although the box was undamaged the pipes were just all tossed in together loosely with no packing. This allowed them to bang around and scratched them up and beat them up some, not to the point of wanting to return them but still disappointing. A bit of bubble wrap on each piece would solve this. Second, although they are mandrel bent they still have waffle like clamp marks and slight indents in the pipe. Must be from whatever machine they use, the torque technologies pipes were smooth with zero indents or Mark's and funny thing is the entire kit years ago was about the same price these are and it's only tails. Seems all the great old businesses are closing down one by one due to retirement or death etc. Once I get around to installing these I will update my post, hoping they fit and look nice because the interior vibes and resonance has to go, I'm not a teenager anymore.

I gave this rating due to : 1. no paper wrapping , 2. open ends are not finished have very dangerous sharp burrs that can cut your hand while handling pipes out of box, 3. dents and scratches all over the pipe material.I was expecting the item to be quality nice clean finish , not so in this case. Does not reflect favorable on Flowmaster.Quality control Very poor. I did not return back because I do not know where else to get this item. Maybe Flowmaster is aware of this and this is why Flowmaster does not give care to quality control .I have read similar reviews of years back and Flowmaster has not corrected their flaws. Delivery date was fair.

Pretty good fit on my 1970 GS 455. Installed nicely with only minor trimming on the over axle pipes. Shortened them by about 1/2”. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the drivers side tail pipe isn’t bent quite to the same angle as the passenger side. I installed the same pipe kit on my car last winter and it was exactly the same bends. I’m probably just being picky but I tried cutting and re-fitting that side on the last kit with minimal results. It’s not too noticeable when the car is on the ground. Overall, for $170 you can’t beat the quality mandrel bent pipe kit. Everything fit together nicely.

The outlets where both banged up from shipping. Not bad enough to return as most people who modify cars are used to putting up with this kind of problem.

These flowmaster prebend pipes fit my 69 Chevelle like they were made for it. They sound good and made a big difference compared to what was on the vehicle.
