Originally designed for trucks and SUV's, it is also well suited to muscle car and high performance applications. In addition, the larger case size significantly reduces interior resonance and provides a deep, rich tone along with mileage and power gains. Constructed of 16 gauge aluminized steel and fully MIG welded for maximum durability.

Installed right at 1yr ago, sounds great with a nice rumble. About 3wks ago I have noticed a rattle when it starts up and upon looking at it further, inside welds have broken free so internal parts are moving around causing the rattle.

Great muffler! Made my Tahoe’s V8 sound like a V8. Muffler is mild in sound level, not too loud but louder than stock. Throttle response has significantly increased and I’m expecting an improvement in mpgs. Install is easy if you have the right tools. Quality made muffler fit and finish. Highly recommend!

Warning, you must be at least 30 years old and have at least 2 car seats in the back to buy this muffler. If you're 20 something and want to be heard by everyone, this is not for you. If you want to be respected for not being obnoxious but still be able to tell it's a V8, this is the muffler for you! That being said, I love it! It is still a very mild muffler but it gave the truck some much needed tone without making it loud. I have it on a 2012 GMC Sierra 1500 stock 5.3. I almost bought the more aggressive flowmaster 50 Delta Flow, but I am glad I did now in my case. My friend has that one on his stock 5.3 and it is very noticably louder inside and out than the super 50 I bought.Highly recommended for Dad rigs!

This was purchased for my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4.7 v8. I did a lot of reading and watching videos while shopping for a new muffler. I wanted a nice note, but not too loud and no drone, this is the perfect muffler so far. I mostly drive 55-65 mph on county roads and it almost sounds stock at 55 and you can hear a nice note at 65, but not a droning sound at all. When you want to hear it, just get on it! lol. Just had it installed at my exhaust shop today so I can't really speak to mileage changes yet. This is NOT a direct fit for stock on a WJ, the in and out tube orientation is correct but the tube size is too large and this is much shorter than stock. I purchased this knowing that, I had it added to my stock tailpipe for now, but will be adding a 3-inch cat-back system in the next few weeks.Five stars from me so far!

Well made but the wrong size was recommended to me for my 4.8 Silverado caused a lot of problems please fix that (3" is wrong I forget the right size I'm sure you can find it) sounds quiter then I thought but the tone itself is great. Would get 44s next time for a little more volume. Note: I also used the stalk tale pipe so that could take some sound away

Amazon says it fits my 2005 GMC Yukon SLT, it does not. At least it is not a direct replacement for mine. I should have looked and measured first, but I didn't until I was going to install it. For some reason my Yukon is a 2 5/8 center input, and 2 - 3 inch outputs to a Y connector. I will need to modify a few things before this install can be done.I finally installed this, ordered the Dynomax 52190 intermediate pipe, Dynomax 55114 tailpipe, and the flowmaster tip. Like I said, on this particular vehicle a simple muffler swap is not possible, at least not to me. I could not find the right coupler for the input. That is why I ordered the dynomax pipes. All 3", and they are a direct replacement. However, I still had to buy a 3"ID X 3"OD coupler, since this muffler is a bit shorter than the stock one.So I started this project thinking I could swap out the muffler only, and ended up buying a couple more pieces to get the job done right. It does sound great though, so I raised my rating to 4 stars. I did do a review on the flowmaster tip, should have stuck with the dynomax one I think, the clamp on the flowmaster did not work well for me. If I had to do this again, I probably would just keep it stock. From start to finish, it took me about 3 hours?

I love Amazon. I ordered the part and got the Super Saver Free Shipping and was expecting it on Friday. I got it on my doorstep Monday afternoon before I got home from work. Thanks Amazon. The muffler is exactly how the other reviewers have described it. Nice sounding growl when you are accelerating, but almost no noise while cruising.I have noticed a performance increase and I am trying to figure out my gas mileage now. I have only had it on my 2005 Chevy Suburban for 2 days at this time, but will update when I get some numbers. If anything, my gas mileage has dropped because I love the sound it makes when I open it up. Sounds like a boss. I really like it when I drive by a wall or something that reflects the sound back towards me. Makes me chuckle. Flowmaster did a good job with the Super 50. You should buy this muffler for a quick and easy exhaust upgrade. Eventually I want to convert the Suburban to a true dual exhaust. I would definitely purchase another one of these to add on to my rig. I really wonder how nice that would sound and what kind of performance gain I would get from that. I will know once I have the money to do it. Little pricey when you talk about replacing everything.
