Want deep rich engine sound but less in car volume? This is my answer as to "which muffler to purchase", providing that you like the basic "sound" of Flowmasters. Taste is up to the individual! Do your homework! Decide what you want out of your muffler experience. I have heard that some people say that the resonance of Flowmasters makes their hearing aids freak out. The Super 44 muffler is for Flowmaster fans who love that deep "Flows" tone but now need a little less volume inside the car. The Super 44 has a thicker case to achieve this. Flowmaster Mufflers are designed by acoustic engineers, and I really love that distinct "Flowmaster effect" that really brings out the rich exhaust "voice" of my car's engine! I put these on my 1976 Dodge D100 short bed pickup, smallblock V8 engine, drove to LA from northern California. I could hear the radio clearly (news radio, some music- just 8 inch door speakers, no amp). Yes I could still hear Flowmasters when I was accelerating, but didn't drone, or drown out anything. Outside exhaust sound is deep, but volume not disturbing to neighbors. On my Chevelle I also chose Super 44's, but added short glasspacks (Cherry Bombs) for resonators after mufflers. Many 1960's and 1970's cars came from the factory with resonators after the mufflers. I think that people who complain that Flowmasters are too loud don't know that Flowmaster makes more than one model of muffler! Super 44's deliver the deepest (not "loudest") Flowmaster tone! I love these mufflers!

La caja de envío estaba bien, pero el producto estaba en una semicaja pobremente cuidada. Afortunadamente no se daño el producto y sólo tenía un pequeño rasguño por lo que se puede utilizar.

'13 Dodge Charger3.6 L v6Wanted to be able to hear the engine a bit more as I couldn't afford a hemi at the time of purchase so I invested in two Super 44's and a magna flow X pipe. The combination has made the car sound mean, driving down the street its noticeable to those on the side walk but not deafening. Little kids love it when you hammer on the throttle and let's be serious the dads do too. These sound great, just ask my neighbors ;).... (just kidding) for real tho. Highly recommended.

Attached this muffler to a 2014 jeep wrangler in the stock location. I was initially worried about this muffler being too loud, on a higher displacement engine it may be louder but on the 3.6 penta star it sounds great, delivers a nice rumble low down and quiet up high in the rpm range. Exactly what I wanted from it. Build quality is great and delivery was faster than quoted.

Great deep throaty sound even on my 2.4l 4 cylinder Malibu. Only problem is that it isn't as loud as I like but I'm gonna fix that by replacing the resonator with a glasspack! I mean I know it's only a Malibu haha. Great item great price. Best price I could find. Also was shipped the day I ordered and got it the next day, and that was the free shipping.

This muffler makes my 4.0L Ranger so much fun to drive. Granted I realize people don't think it is as fun as I think they do, but it makes my commute (or any other drive) so much more enjoyable as I can hear the growl of a good engine! There is a bit of cabin drone at very low RPMs, but that's why I chose the Super 44 over the Super 40...so no complaints on my end! This muffler is a ton of fun if you are looking to turn a few more heads with your vehicle, and slightly increase HP and MPG's (so slightly that I'm not sure a Dyno would confirm it...).

Had this welded on to my 2008 Jeep Commander. Seems very small to the monster size of the stock muffler. If you have been looking into upgrading your muffler and have your eye on the super 44 then you already know most of its pros and cons. Here is my opinion. This muffler gives off a fantastic deep rumble, especially for my V8 engine. It has also increased my MPG by about 2.The things I was worried about when I was researching this was exactly how loud it would be. First of all you will not be "waking the neighbors" as some people claim, unless you're sitting in your driveway revving the engine. Speeds up to 15-20 mph give you that nice deep rumble, once you hit 35-50 it will level out. Once you get on the highway it can get a little loud and this is where I would like to go into detail. Most people complain at "highway speeds" this muffler is too loud.Getting on the highway, and getting up to those speeds you will really hear this muffler at work, But not loud enough to where your screaming to talk to the other people in the car or you can't even hear the music in your car. It's not that obnoxious or loud. Once you level out around 70 it quits down a bit but of course you will still notice you are not using a stock muffler. When you're going uphill on a highway is when it gets the loudest, but again IMO it's very tolerable. If you wanted silence in the first place you wouldn't be looking into replacing your muffler with a super 44 :) I did not get any kind of drone in my vehicle but this can vary depending on the vehicle. All in all I am very happy with it. Although it's hard to drive with fuel efficiency in mind when all you want to do is slam on the gas pedal to hear this thing roar.
