I played a Floyd Rose Special for about 8 years before buying this push/pull style one and I am so glad to have made the switch. This trem has a plastic washer on the inside of the collar that has an tiny allen key to adjust the tightness on the arm when it's inserted. It makes for the most perfect trem bar for whatever you'd like, though too loose would let it fly out on stage when you're really JAMMIN.

Great price and feels even better than the regular screw on bars. This is much more like a LoPro trem is had on my old Ibanez Jem. I highly recommend this. It was easy to install (was a little more of a chore on my Charvel because they didn't route out access to the underside of the bar inside the spring cavity, but that's a problem with the guitar, not the floyd rose bar). .

I used this to replace the old thread in style with the coupler adapter thing and the nylon washers. It worked perfectly and is way better than the other style. It sits in one spot and doesn’t flop around. The metal is very good and thick, the threads were cut very clean and deep. I have no doubts this will last the lifetime of the guitar

2009 C-1 Hellraiser with stock FR1000. I replaced the trem arm and mount a while back with the Floyd stock arm And it really was'nt that much better then what I had. Never could get it adjusted and to stay like I liked it.Happened to run across this arm on Amazon and gave it a try. Oh I can say is Oh Hell Yes!!! Adjust the tension on the trem arm and it stays exactly like I put it.... WAY more responsive then the wobble around crap with the stock arm. Perfect. I also have an Ibanez RG with the edge 3 trem that's push in arm and I always said why don't FR do that....Well damn if they don't-I Will be spreading the word to my fellow FR users. Love it!!!

I had a Floyd Rose 1000 series with a screw-in arm...it was loose and wouldnt stay where I wanted. Ordered this push-in arm and now the trem works amazingly well...especially if you want to do flutters.

This is the tremolo bar you're looking for if you've got one of those screw-in bars and want to replace it with a push-in that sticks in position. This tremolo is perfect!

Love these things. I've had all kinds of different trems. Parker, EBMM JP, Gotoh Floyds (both with the old pop-in bar and the newer internally threaded bar), Ibanez Edge, ZR, ZR2, Edge Zero, Yamaha RM Pro, pop-in Wilkinson, and various others. The pre-refined Parker and old push-in Gotoh systems are my favorite, but they're both proprietary and were both changed for the worse, in my opinion. These push-in Floyd Rose holders are the best currently on the market. The bar quickly and easily pops in and out, no need to screw anything in. Dial in the tension you want using the allen screw and it's always the same when you put the bar back on without having to make adjustments. No small bushings that wear out quickly like the pop-in Ibanez stuff. You can still dial in minimal tension for a looser or completely free swinging arm if that's your preference without having to worry about it falling out. Obviously this holder isn't suitable if you like to tweak your arm tension on the fly. It's for more of a set it and forget it approach. Most people (myself included) tend to have one preferred arm tension, for which this works great since it will consistently deliver the same feel.I've been retrofitting these onto all 10 or so of my Floyd guitars. I've put them on German OFRs, German Schallers, 1000 series Floyds, Floyd Specials, all without issue. There are a couple considerations, though. First of all, installing them is not as straight forward as a regular collared arm holder. Instead of attaching with an allen screw, these have a giant nut that screws right onto the baseplate. In order to get enough leverage, you'll likely need to get a deep well socket driver. You'll also need to make sure that the arm holder is sitting level in the baseplate as you're screwing it down. If it's slightly askew then the top ridged portion won't get pressed entirely into the baseplate socket, which could make the bar sit at an uneven angle and will likely cause the holder to loosen after a while.Secondly, the large nut used to secure the holder to the baseplate may not fit into some routes. It gives it a slightly larger footprint than a normal collared arm holder, so it's possible that it could bump or rub against the edge. Unfortunately there's no way to really know without trying. The good news is I haven't run into any guitar that posed a significant problem, just some close calls, the closest of which being a Charvel with a top mounted floating Floyd. The nut would bump the back edge of the cavity if I pulled back the trem as far as I could, causing the very extreme end of my pull-up range to be slightly limited and to have a mushy feel. The difference was less than a 1/4 step, though. One last thing, and this pertains only to cosmetics. The inner bushing will be either white or black in color, but it's impossible to know which one you'll get. I've ordered them in many different finishes at many different times since these have been in production and the bushing color appears to be completely random. I think this would only affect the most obsessive people in only the rarest occasions, but it's still worth noting.

Much better design than the stock unit. I am sure once Floyd runs out of OEM units, it will ship new units with this improved model. Thank Floyd Rose for making this newer design available, for the price, I doubt Floyd is making any money off this upgrade, IMHO. On my B.C. Rich JRV Edge Electric Guitar the arm is the old style with the collar and the Allen clamp screw. This thing is a design failure and comes loose at both ends. Once I discovered this new unit, I was ready to give it a try. The BCRich version has the smaller hole where the unit clamps, however that is because there is a small non threaded section on the bolt portion of the base unit. First thought was to drill the plate hole out, however when I tightened the unit, it still seated and was quite tight. So the threaded part fits through the hole in the plate, if you drill it out then the non threaded portion is slightly too long to allow the nut to tighten. Either a washer on the top or bottom of the bolt would be required. So I did nothing but tighten the bolt with a little blue Loc-tight on the treads, this pulls snug the bolt into the plate where the section of the non threaded portion is. Yes, if you look closely the the receiver section is slightly standing off from the plate but the overall unit is very tight and solid. Lucky this BCRich guitar was routed on the back enough to get a 12mm socket wench over the nut and with the blue thread locker solution get a very tight fit. All this will become clear once you have the unit in hand. Very happy with the outcome and now to also melt some faces!!!!
