These are more useful than I thought they would be. they reach into awkward places well. They clamp on well and are of good quality. highly recommend .

Pure dirt, Fluke should be ashamed of themselves to sell this rubbish€75 for 2 cheap weak probes is disgraceful. They too big to fit into a MCB terminal, and too weak to hold the head of a screw on a busbar. AVOID

Fluke comes through with another great idea and quality. These are great for clamping onto something for testing. A bit pricey for what they are but in the end, worth it.

I looked at these in the store for years. But in the store one of the probes was missing from the package. I kept going back and searching for these probes. They were always out of stock. Finally, I realized that I could order them from Amazon. I am so sorry that I waited so long to buy them. They are terrific. Instead of normal alligator clips which have such a small pivot that they fall off of anything larger than 1/4" these will grip onto a 1/2" nut. It makes a world of difference to be able to clip on to the test point and then not worry about it falling off.The leads are of a very high quality silicone-like material with supple wires. They are far superior to the test leads supplied with the Fluke 87V.Make certain to also purchase the Fluke TP220 SureGrip Industrial Test Probes. The SureGrip Alligator Clips are insulated so that you cannot easily expose them to small components as you can with the Probes. I believe that they are available as a set. You can pull one off the test leads and put on the other.

I recommend these to anyone who does electrical work. even if you only use them once, still worth having a set. The retractable jaws really get a grip and hold on.

I was expecting a slightly larger metallic teeth on this plunger type test leads. It is sturdy with a good strong spring action to it. It does open quite wide. I would have given it five stars if the metallic teeth were slightly larger for a better grip.Overall, The quality is very good. Up to Fluke standards and pricing. I feel $30.00 dollars to be a little over priced for test leads heads, tho.

I've previously reviewed the Fluke AC285 Aligator Clips. These are their little brothers. Just like 285's the AC220's require a double banana jack test lead to work. I'm using Fluke's TL224 Silcone leads. However since searching I've found two other manufacturers that make this style of lead. Still I prefer Fluke's silicone rubber leads.Once wired, these test leads (which are bigger than I expected, see the photo in the product page) are Fluke's "Premium" answer to the more traditional "over the point" slide on aligator clips. The jaws when open are insulated on the outside and the operator's fingers are nearly two inches back from that. These are great for clamping onto bare wire (up to #4), small & medium lugs (such as standard bus bar and CB lugs), or the screws on switches and outlets. The jaws open wide enough to clamp onto 3/8" diameter surfaces and might be able to handle 1/2". Benchtops technitions and hobbiests I'm sure can think of a few more uses. Unlike the "over the point" clips these a secure to the test leads and I feel safe using them for hands free diagnostics even if they get bumped. Some Fluke products lead me to question the worth vs. the extra cost...but not these. These are a must of anyone that needs true hands free measurement!
