My first exposure to a fly "sinkant". I thought it would be helpful to get nymphs and streamers to drop a bit faster on the first cast and in fact it does the job. I assume it is some sort of surfactant...The bottle I received leaked a bit and therefore I store in a appropriate-sized empty prescription bottle (with the child lock removed!) to keep from getting on other gear.It works, is inexpensive, but I reduced a star due to the non-sealing bottle.

Rub onto a fly and it floats like a duck; rub on just the top and hackles and it floats partially submerged. Can also be used to treat and clean floating fly line.

When I received this product, it had leaked a bit and the whole outside was sticky. I think the packaging or bottle design should prevent this.However, I tested this product by taking a large dry fly and applying two drops of this stuff. It sank to the bottom of the cup very quickly. This should be great for fishing with streamers and nymphs.It seems to be a good product that could use better packing or bottle design.

It works. Keeps the dries floating for a good while. Would purchase again when needed.
