I understand these are meant to flex a bit but one little piece of cardboard and a little tape would go a long way. Also the package was obviously opened at some point as the flap was not tucked in and the #1 is very worn and faded. These are only initial impressions and the blades seem to be fresh - just letting folks know they could easily arrive damaged and bent.

I have used other cheep scroll saw blades previously. These blades are night and day better than anything else I have ever used. I was never particularly impressed with any scroll saw before. These blades make cutting much faster, smoother and more controlled. They are worthy of the hype.

I am new at this but these Flying Dutchman blades are the cats meow I cut out quarters and I cut out designs out of copper I mainly use 2/0 and #3 for them And they work great

Considering the wide range of materials these blades are used for I'd say they hold up very well. There's a tremendous difference in heat / stress placed on these blades depending on the species of wood, speed they are worked ect. I certainly do not earn a living with these blades and probably use my scroll saw less frequently than most, but I have had excellent service with these blades and only recall actually breaking two out of the last 8 dozen or so FD blades. I used Olsen before trying the FD and had good results with them as well but the FD are inexpensive, readily available in all sizes I use and are always delivered on time.
