I'm very fond of the Bloc Loc line of rulers, and this set is no exception. While they are certainly easy to use, one still has to be careful not to let them slip out of place while cutting around them. I find it easiest to use a very small rotary cutter with these rulers. I know they're expensive, but I highly recommend them.

I like these type of templates for half square triangles so when I found them foe flying geese I had to give it a try. They worked great. My problem is with the price. I am not sure why they cost what they do. I am surprised at all the price’s for “quilting tools”.

I bought these after being impressed with the Bloc-Loc Half Square Triangle rulers. These Flying Geese rulers are just as FABULOUS! Finally, after 15 years of piecing quilts, I have Flying Geese with perfect points and seam allowances! I'm buying more for Christmas gifts! Well worth the cost!

I was very skeptical, particularly since these are expensive gizmos. However, the results are magnificent when I make the original units slightly bigger and trim to perfect size. You can accomplish the same thing by making a masking tape ridge on a "normal" ruler but these make quilting life so much easier. I highly recommend them to anyone who makes a lot of flying geese units....in other words, every serious quilter alive.

I am working on a king size quilt with more Flying Geese units than I want to admit. I would not even attempt it without these templates. Although there are many FG templates available on the market, the BlocLoc template is the only one with a channel that locks into the seam - No slipping. I am getting perfect, uniform units with perfect seam allowances and not much effort. It is like having a third hand. Love this product!
