This audio interface is great. Works with no problems. I use it with logic pro and it does the job. Would definitely recommend buying this.

Out the gate, this is a must have upgrade for anyone running a Solo. Everything about it is better.-It does not pop when you reboot your PC or boot up-The knobs are digital, giving you a bunch of features that were not possible on previous versions. Like auto gain for example!-Some of the hookups are now on the back, making it look much cleaner in use.- The headphones and the monitors now have their own volume knobs!!!-The new style LED meters look great and are much more useful!-Recordings sound better, and I haven't even tried out the extra vocal features.-Less noise in recordings-My solo used to make weird buzzing like noises out the monitors, like when i move my mouse for example. This 2i2 does not do that and has a lower noise floor, so less noise in recordings.-I did try my SM7b without my Dynamite inline (it is like a Cloud Lifter), it totally can handle it on its own, but ultimately, I did end up hooking my dynamite back up to boost the signal. This is just because of my setup and using it with voice calls. I could totally spend some more time tweaking the gains and see if it was needed to put it back in line for me, but I think a lot of people will be fine without one.The only things I didn't like about it was:- It shut down right away when I tried to use phantom power, but this is because it has 2 power inputs. One to use like normal and one for additional power for heavy loads. Apparently, I needed the additional power, lol. Once I plugged in a second source, it's been working flawlessly ever since. I would just prefer a single connection for this somehow. But on the other hand, if it is needed, I understand and its working either way.-The drivers do not allow you to capture the audio in other programs, at least not that I can figure out. I still need to use a third party vst to project the audio out of FL Studio in order to capture it elsewhere, like OBS or discord for example. That sucks, but there are workarounds so not a deal breaker at all... Just worth mentioning.I totally recommend this interface. I do recommend that you do your research though, because there are a few at this price point to choose from. However, for me, I will even be upgrading to the 18i20 sometime in the near future so, Scarlett fanboy here!!!

Best for personal audio mixing/amp. Don't get the Solo, just pay the extra $60 for the 2i2. You WILL need the second channel.

I'm really glad I chose this as my first interface- it's super easy to use in general once you get up and running and there are a few on-board features that are helpful like the air/inst settings. However, latency is a problem when monitoring via DAW with FX even with my beefy gaming PC and it's somewhat unreliable- the phantom power specifically has been an issue for me and sometimes it has various other issues. I'll be buying a Motu or M-Audio next but still plan to use my 2i2 until it burns out.Edit: my Scarlett burned out about ten months after purchase and so far it's been really difficult to get any sort of tangible support from Focusrite. I will be switching brands as soon as I can afford to!

I am an amateur, needed a preamp to boost the low signal on my Shure SM78. Fairly simple setup, minimal juggling, and everything sounded great. Compact size, didn't overwhelm my desk landscape and, hell, I likes the cute little red box.

I use this to run my guitar into my MacBook, and audio back out to studio monitor speakers. Simple to set up and works great.

So I received my brand new 2i2 4th gen hoping it would work flawlessly since it has already been 4 months since it first launched. Until I started using it.The first thing that happened is when I was trying to use it on my Windows 11 laptop the voice gets muffled every 10 seconds or so, not a big deal for me since I was going to use it mainly on my Windows 10 PC. That's when problems started arriving, so I did use the interface for about 5 days without installing the driver posted on their website. And to be honest, I was quite happy with it when I was playing games. Then I wanted to record something so I installed the driver and set everything up. Then immediately I noticed I got awfully quiet, like my voice lowered 50% after I installed the driver, I had to run DAW at all times so people could hear me. Talking about how quiet my mic sounded, my ear was blown after I plugged in my keyboard to play, it is extremely loud, please don't trust the recommended gain and start lower. Then a day later my friend told me that my voice had been crackling, stuttering, glitching, doing loopbacks, and dropping for no reason, it took me so long to check for all my hardware and software until I found changing the sample rate would increase or decrease the effect, oddly when I set the sample rate to 192 it stutters the least, anything lower and higher will make it stutter more, and 1024 will completely brake the sound. All of the problems came from the driver that I downloaded a few days ago, when I deleted the driver everything went back to normal, the sound was loud enough again, and there was no stutter or glitching, I don't know why they would recommend people to install the driver. I'm not going to keep it because I don't feel like going back to Link Pro and doing all the setup again, I'll simply get something else.If you already brought the interface and are experiencing stutter and dropouts, uninstalling the driver might work for you, but at the end of the day, the best fix is to not buy it.
