I assume this would have some sort of padding and in fact it has none. There all is that if you’re going to use it, you’re going to need to provide some sort of foam topper to have any kind of comfort. Unfortunately, I’m going to return it for one that is better designed has a greater height and has better padding.

This worked great to set up for an extra bed for my 11 year old grandson so he didn't have to sleep on the floor. He said it was very comfy. Folds up compactly for storage.

Sturdy and comfortable enough. Mattress is pretty good but would still recommend using a sleeping bag on top of you're camping

Setting it up was a breeze. I slept on it the very day that it arrived to test it out. Feels very sturdy. As others have pointed out, the mattress pad isn't very thick, but I didn't buy the cot for that so it wasn't a con for me. If you want a thicker and more comfortable mattress pad, you should just buy a foam one.

It says it holds 600 lbs. I'm not quite there, but at 325 I need space, comfort and strength. This cot is wide enough and strong enough. The pad that comes with it is tolerable but would recommend some additional padding to suit your comfort needs. For me, it was worth it to not have to get 'up' from a single air mattress.
