I've restored several KitchenAid stand mixers, including one from from the 1970s, and a Hobart N50, made in 1961, which is a commercial machine still made by Hobart today. KitchenAid mixers were originally made by Hobart. My KitchenAid K5SS was made by Hobart. Hobart eventually sold the KitchenAid brand to Whirlpool. It's important to use a food grade grease when lubr9icating the KitchenAid mixer, and KitchenAid mixers require a high level of stickiness in their grease. This grease from the LewisCare Store on Amazon fits the bill. You won't be disappointed using this grease.

My Kitchen Aid is pushing 20 years old... I was going through the cycle of cleaning any gear grease that made it to the outer surface of the mixer every few weeks. That grease was very dirty. Cleaning it all out took a few good brushes and some elbow grease, but after running it with fresh clean grease in the gears I can say it was worth it. The mixer definitely operates smoother, and while I'll still be cleaning it after every use I won't have to worry about that unsightly used grease rising to the surface.

I actually got this for the gear on a meat slicer. It seems to be the right stuff, and hopefully I'll get a better lifetime from the slicer before the gear decides to eat itself alive. If it works on the slicer, I can't see why it wouldn't work on a stand mixer.

This container is sufficient to service your mixer one time. It is very valuable in keeping your mixer in good condition by keeping a schedule for maintenance. This product works as described and I’m very satisfied with it.

This is not like any other grease I have ever used - food grade or not. It's sticky, very sticky - almost like a silicone sealant, and really not that slippery if you stick you finger in it. Once you do that, it is hard to remove even with dish soap wish usually removed any grease. Fortunately it comes with a tiny brush and disposable gloves. I'm guessing it is silicone based though it does not say that. I'm sure the sticky nature of this will keep it on the gears where it belongs - as long as the old grease is removed first. There is no smell at all to this product. I got this to use on my slicer since the grease on the internal gears on it always seems to disappear. Hopefully this will solve that problem and the 4 oz jar should last quite a while.

This is a food-grade grease for kitchen stand mixers. It's thicker than most other greases, which can make it a bit tricky to apply. However, this thickness also means it sticks well and provides long-lasting lubrication. With a 36-month shelf life, it should keep your mixer running smoothly for a long time.oon for others. The increased viscosity might provide superior lubrication and protection in harsh conditions or high-stress applications. Ultimately, whether this grease is the right fit for you will depend on your specific needs and preferences.

I replaced a gear in my wife's Kitchenaid Stand Mixer and needed a good food grade grease. This 4 oz. container was the right amount. The grease applied nicely partly because it is so sticky. It comes with a small paddle, brush and thin plastic gloves. The gloves are nearly useless. They are so thin and easily got a hole as I was applying the grease. The kit should have contained a pair of latex or nitril gloves. Other than the gloves I am happy with this purchase.

Nice and tacky! Comes with a set of tools for application. This worked wonders on my hand-powered citrus juicer.
