After making several rounds of fried rice on my BlackStone griddle and suffering the fate of stuff falling out the grease trap drain on the back of the griddle, I found this wonderful little guy! Given the price I was skeptical of just how good it would actually be. But I am happy to say that it is worth it and more. Very well made, sturdy, and locks right into place and stays put nicely. Highly recommend to anyone that doesn’t want to have the same trouble with food falling through the grease drain on their griddle.

Wasn’t sure if it was going to work but nothing escaped. I may alter it a small amount due to it not fitting flush on the griddle. But it doesn’t let any pieces escape.

Perfect addition to my Blackstone. No more lost onions into the grease drain. Easy to put on and take off. Cleans up easily. Just do not take off when grill is still hot!

I really thought one of these rear grease drain guards was useless until I bought it. On my first use, I was sautéing potatoes and flung several to the rear of my griddle. They would have immediately fallen into the grease trap if I didn't have this guard. It fits snug and covers the drain very well, allowing grease and water to flow out but not bits of food. The additional holes above the bottom row aren't needed and appear to be strictly aesthetic and they make cleaning the guard a little more challenging.

I had a magnetic unit and it worked but the magnets lost their magnetism after only three o four months. The unit started falling off into my food and became a total annoyance. This piece is much more rugged and stays put, however, does make it difficult to close my lid!
