If you are looking for a replacement basket that will provide a better seal on your 5 gallon bucket Gamma Seal Lids.. These DO NOT WORK. They leak just like the regular Gamma Seal lids leak.I was looking for a replacement basket which would provide an airtight seal for my 5 gallon buckets using the Gamma Lids. The stock Gamma Lids do NOT provide an airtight seal so I thought I would try a better gasket.This gasket is better quality and it fits the lids for the 5 gallon buckets perfectly.I filled a bucket half way with water put on the lid with the new seal and water poured out at the sight of screw on lid.

These seals are for the original Gamma Seal pet food containers I have had for years that lost the seals a long time ago. These new ones are solid, have no split visible and fit perfectly on the large size mouth of the pet food container. I felt the seal give a little resistance as I tightened the lid down which, to me, indicates the seal is engaging where it should to keep air and other contaminants out. I will replace my other old seals with these new ones and then can rest assured the contents will be protected for a long time.

The O-ring fit okay, works okay, I hope. It’s definitely smaller diameter than the original equipment oring on the gamma seal lid.The oring is not genuine part, the seller wasn’t forthright to say smaller diameter than original.We’ll see…
