It fit well and worked great for three months of very gentle use, but then every corner on the bottom half of the case began to crack. It has never been dropped. It has never been impacted by another object. It's just very flimsy plastic. I would not recommend this case to anyone.

Fits ok, but weighs down the screen and I'm wondering if this will hurt the hinges over time. Also the tabs that hold it on near where your wrists go stick up and can be uncomfortable to type on. Sharp, plastic edges make the typing experience feel cheap like finger nails on a chalkboard.I've definitely had better.

The shell fits like a glove on my new MacBook Pro 14".It blurs the cover a bit, since I got clear black, so it's smokey grey over the black of the actual case. I like the effect.On the one hand, the thin extra coating doesn't quite feel as nice and does reduce the heat transfer of the case, providing a thin insulation layer. On the other hand, the active cooling vents have cutouts, so the airways are clear. Further, the extra thickness actually makes opening the laptop significantly easier for my thick fingers, because it adds a tiny extra lip on the bottom, which my fingers just don't easily find purchase on without this. Honestly, that (literal) feature accounts for the 4th star.This is a competent though unexciting case. It doesn't make port access a mess. It doesn't stop this from fitting inside carrying cases and the like, unless they were insanely tight. It doesn't do a whole lot of protecting, either.It's not very shock absorbing: Mostly, this will protect from pointy and sharp objects piercing the thing. For that, it will do good things. It'll also offer a little bit of drop protection. (very little. "Petit plop," as the French say )So it's a well-made piece of minor protection. It's easy to put on and off; though the top part does need the notches hinge-ward to aid clearance for the ports, that's the only gotcha I noticed and it probably works fine even if you mung that up. If you're going to do a bunch of hardcore processing, you might do well to remove this and let the case cool things down, better, but for the most part, this is a good idea as a just-in-case measure to simply put on and leave there.
