These things are way too expensive for the cheap parts they're made from. It does work but it's not super sturdy and the connection can come and go if you're doing anything to vibrates the battery. Honestly it's kind of Hit and Miss as I've had multiple adapters and some of them work flawlessly and others have more issues. This one seems to be mid-range and I haven't had too many blackouts from it. It holds the battery decently firmly to the tool. Also take note of the direction that the battery goes into the adapter and the way it'll snap into the tool because some tools do not allow a battery to fit in from the reverse and still have room to clip in.

This adapter was designed to fit on a Ridgid 18 volt battery and make it work on a Milwaukee M18 power tool, or high brightness LED light. It fit, but was 1/4 inch higher than another adapter I had, and I think it fit in the tool from a reverse direction. I first tried fitting this on a jumper cable adapter for a Milwaukee battery, and then fit it onto a large bright hanging lamp. This worked on both. It was a little tightepl fit in the jumper cable and also a little more difficult to take it off. It fit the lamp fine, may have been a hair less tight. The spring loaded tabs used to hold it in place worked but one side didn't push out as far to engage the adapter. This adapter was a little shorter than the plac for it on the lamp top, and it barely fit below the lamp bracket with a Ridgid 2 amp battery. The plastic seemed a little rig, id and inflexible--suggesting to me that it might crack if dropped or if snapped in at very cold temperatures. The one very good point about this adapter is that the plastic on the top fully encased the spring loaded double tong connectors for the two prongs in the Ridgid battery. That is a good safety feature, preventing a possible short between the positive and negative terminals that could occur when the prongs made contact. The other adapter I have had the spring loaded catches out of the plastic encasing and if used with the high amp jumper cable adapter left it more prone to shorting out. Unlike the other adapter, this one did not indicate which terminal was positive and negative, which would have been nice for checking the voltage. Overall I like this adapter; it does its job, has the plastic encased prong fittings, but it is a bit too high--using it with a higher amp taller battery could be a problem, and the plastic felt to rigid and possibly easier to crack if dropped or banged against another tool. It is good value for the money--in terms of how much it will save you buying extra Milwaukee batteries. If I were depending on this, I'd get a spare to have on hand. Unlike some of the adapters for different batteries to fit, this one did function properly and fit reasonably well; not sure if it will stay tight to fit after usage, but having two takes care of losing one in a pinch.

I grabbed this battery adapter hoping to get more use out of my Ridgid batteries with my Milwaukee M18 tools, and it’s been an interesting experience. The good news is, it does let you use those Ridgid batteries on your M18 gear. It fits well on both the battery and tool sides, and it's definitely saved me from having to invest in a whole set of Milwaukee batteries for occasional use. However, there are some definite downsides. The adapter adds a noticeable amount of bulk, which can be a real problem with some M18 tools. I found it made certain tools too large to comfortably use. Plus, the connection between the battery and adapter can be a bit unreliable. If you bump or jostle the battery, you might lose power, which is frustrating. For the price, I expected a more robust build and a more secure connection. I've had some adapters that worked flawlessly and others that were much more temperamental; this one seems to sit somewhere in the middle.Another thing to keep in mind is the battery insertion direction. Depending on the tool, you might run into clearance issues if the battery isn’t positioned just right.Despite these issues, it has been useful for some of my less demanding M18 tools, especially when I just need a quick job done and don't want to drain my Milwaukee batteries. It's a decent option if you're looking to squeeze some extra life out of your Ridgid batteries, but be prepared for some potential connection issues and added bulk

This thing expanded my use of my 1/2 inch impact. Made sturdy to withstand the atmosphere of a shop. I highly recommend it if you have extra Milwaukee or DeWalt batteries you want to use with your cordless tool. I don't know if it's tool specific, but I use it on a Ridgid impact.

Couldnt see spending the money on a milwaukee 1/2 in impact when i had a rigid one that works great, but when the battery failed i was stuck. decided to try this and leverage the milwaukee batteries i have and it works perfect. if i had to use it all day every day it would get clunky because it makes the setup bigger by an inch, but for the few times a week i need it, it works perfect.

Milwaukee batter to Rigid tool. As long as you don't bump the battery this thing works. If you bump it connection breaks, bump it again it starts back up.
