After many years of use my old Ryobi battery's had seen better days. I have a ton of Milwaukee tools and batteries now, but still have a few of the older Ryobi tools I use occasionally. This adapter is a great way to let me keep using them with my current battery system. The adapter works like a regular battery, and worked well in every tool I've tried it on.

This adapter works well to adapt my Milwaukee 18 Volt batteries to all of my Ryobi tools. I have an extensive collection of Ryobi tools that I have acquired over the years, and this allows me to use my Milwaukee batteries (18 Volt) with all of them. So far, it has worked with all of my Ryobi 18 Volt tools, including my ancient (2003) 10-inch chainsaw, Ryobi pole saw (chain saw on a long pole), drill, impact driver, 7-1/4 inch rotary saw, and my Ryobi 4-1/2 inch angle grinder. The tools that require a lot of power (chain saw and angle grinder) seem to benefit from my large Milwaukee batteries (5 Ah and 9 Ah). The fit between the Milwaukee batteries, adapter, and Ryobi tools is very snug and makes for good electrical contact. One thing to keep in mind is that you cannot charge your Milwaukee batteries on a Ryobi charger with this adapter. You must have a Milwaukee charger to charge your Milwaukee batteries.

I would absolutely recommend this if you have Ryobi tools and want to use Milwaukee M18 batteries. It fit perfectly with one of my M18 batteries and a Ryobi impact driver. The power output was good with no degradation that I could notice. If anything, my impact driver actually worked better with the M18 battery, which is probably because my Ryobi batteries are pretty worn out after quite a few years of use.I really didn't want to purchase any more Ryobi batteries since I have a decent amount of the M18 ones and only a couple of Ryobi tools left. This solved that problem for me perfectly.There is a USB port on the back of the adapter that I didn't know it came with. This was a nice addition and can turn your M18 Milwaukee batteries into a mobile USB charger. I tested it out with a USB rechargeable light I have and it worked perfectly. I am not sure if you can use it to charge the M18 battery. I would assume not but I didn't have a cable that would work to try it.Overall, I think this is a very good option for a battery converter. I think the price is reasonable at $17.99 and the quality exceeded my expectations.

I'm pretty committed to the Milwaukee M18 ecosystem, but Milwaukee doesn't have a small inflator like the Ryobi PCL016B ONE+ Whisper Series 18v Cordless High Volume Inflator for air mattress. The inflator is a great moderate-volume blower that is really useful for clearing wood chips and sawdust from my workbench and from projects I'm turning on my lathe, without unleashing a hurricane of air like the Milwaukee M18 Leaf Blower. It's also way more compact, giving me air where I need it and when.The Ryobi Battery Adapter allows me to use my existing Milwaukee M18 batteries on the Ryobi ONE+ tools without having to invest in yet another battery ecosystem.

My Ryobi battery died on me. I originally ordered replacement batteries but then remember seeing these adapters. For a third of the price I figured it was worth a shot. It feels well built and locks in securely with no play. So far I have used it on my leaf blower and hedge trimmer with no issues.
