Recommended for gheenoes and up to a 20' flats boat. THE BRAKE is faster, quieter and in most cases stronger than your traditional anchor. The complete system includes THE BRAKE mount and anchor pin holder, a 8ft black anchor pin, 2 x 3/4" mounting clips with screws, velcro safety straps to mount behind the mounting clips for extra security, impact cushion, rubber grommet and complete instructions.

The idea is great but it’s missing an elastic strap because the waves move the boat up and down and that ultimately takes the pole out and all of a sudden your boat is loose.

I order them with 8 foot anchoring poles and I have used them one time and they worked great. If you fish in shallow water this setup might be right for you. I will only use them when the wind is light to keep from breaking the mounting brackets that hold them.

Didn't send bolts and nuts for the brake bracket and didn't send rough water clamps or straps all were supposed to be part of the package ripped off again!
