The black mounting tab broke in a situation that the OEM tab would not have, but this was easy to glue back together with a strong epoxy and it was completely my fault that it broke. The fit is good for the price.

It may look like Toyota quality in the pictures, but trust me it isn't. I took a chance on a cheap replacement sidemarker light for my 2000 4runner and wish I hadn't. It basically snaps in, an has a single screw tab and screw to hold the light in place permanently. This is a Toyota design. The first one (the original) stayed snug for almost two decades and had to be replaced because it was cracked. The replacement stayed installed for about 3 weeks before the mounting tab gave way and the light flew out of the truck, taking the the wiring harness connector with it. Now I have two problems to fix. The plastic that this unit is made from from is too brittle to survive automotive use. Now I have two problems to fix. When I contacted the seller about this situation, they said:"Dear,It has been over 30 days and it is well past our warranty. If the part is needed please purchase again with us here.... with a link to the same product! Thanks Gold Shrine! OHHHH! and it gets better! the part was $28.32 when purchased in October - Now the same part is $37.30 in January!?
