After a slight mishap with delivery that caused me to be uncharacteristic and write a negative review (I never post reviews that do not pertain to the product), I can say that this valve works perfectly.It seems that the aftermarket/generic versions of this valve do not work correctly, and this was the case with my E-350. I think it might be because they are designed to work with a higher negative pressure?In any event, this valve works properly and I can say goodbye to the actuator door changing positions during low vacuum (low RPM while climbing a hill) and momentarily interrupting the nice cold air from the AC...while it is 100 F outside.

This is one of the components you need to bypass the old vacuum canister in your van to get the fan blowing strong again. It works great

I saved a bunch of money (about $700) by fixing my AC vacuum leak myself. This part was recommended in a YouTube video as part of the bypass, and it worked like a charm.

If your vent air in the cabin switches over to defrost full time its cuz this failed or broke or a vacuum line broke... plastic vacuum line is like 1 dollar a foot. Just make sure you need the 2 way. some ford modulars have the one way. just plug the other nipple with glue... but chances are your 4.6 or 5.4 ford merc linc needs this part. the plastic gets brittle and any stress from pulling lines will break the nipples off... this is an immediate fix.. your welcome.. oh its up by the firewall in the corner by the AC evaporator you should hear a loud hiss from the area
