I have a 2001 Mazda B4000 SE 4X4 and this fit. My emergency cable broke off in the driver's side drum. Pulled the drum and there was the head of the cable. I initially thought the clock spring in this broke but that wasn't the case. Just needed a new driver side cable. But now the emergency brake is nice and tight. Like I said it worked for the B4000. Just add some fishing wire to the cable end then feed it through the floor. And before you try to feed that grommet through floor rub it down with some dielectric grease. Pops right in.

I was having an issue with my parking / emergency brake cable dropping down under the vehicle. I’ve also noticed the pedal return has been “lazy”. When I removed the old pedal assembly to check it out, I noticed there is a clock spring around the pedal connection point that was not tensioned or moving when I moved the pedal. I bought this to replace the whole unit, as it’s not a serviceable part. Installed quickly and it solved the droopy cable problem.
