The Dado King features all the same quality and precision found in Forrest blades. Each outside cutting blade is 8” in diameter with 24 precisely ground C4 carbide teeth. The chippers are the 4-wing type, again equipped with the same high quality C4 carbide teeth. Includes four 1/8" chippers, one 3/32" chipper, and one 1/16" chipper. With various combinations, dadoes from 1/4" through 29/32" in width are possible and can be set to precise widths with the included magnetic shim set. Also includes high impact storage case.

I like high-end woodworking tools because they usually deliver a noticeable improvement in quality. Hey- this blade set LOOKS beautiful. But the cut quality was lacking compared to nearly every dado blade I have.It cut deep ridges on both outer blades, much deeper than I've come to expect from a dado stack. It honestly looked like three dados in one! I will concede that even the best manufacturers have occasional issues. I'm open to updating my review if Forrest feels this is out of line with prior user experience.I want to cut hardwood joinery with my dado blade, like tenons tongue and groove and half-laps. This requires a fairly flat cut on multiple passes. In other words I need to make cuts wider than the full stack. When I do that, the outer blades cut WAY TOO DEEP. Not just average scoring lines. You could never sand out the bat wing grooves this set leaves.So disappointed, especially considering the price is nearly twice other premium sets.

The new packaging and range of thicknesses is a big improvement from the early sets
