These are a very attractive plant label. I am using them to label plants in a community garden. They are sometimes blown over by strong winds because the stand can be pushed into the soil only an inch or two. I am using 8 inch staples to reinforce them. I have also occasionally found the stone label blown off the stand. They are quite durable. I suspect I will be able to use them for many years.

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my sister-in-law two has several gardens. I was surprised by the weight of the package. I forgot how heavy slate is. The metal rods seem sturdy. It was packaged well - the slate arrived intact. There is a white waterproof pen/marker included for labeling the slates. I may purchase a set for myself.

After comparing many alternatives, I found these and love them. The height means they aren't obscured by plant matter and are less likely to be inadvertently severed. VERY elegant/upscale looking. The white liquid chalk marker takes some getting used to, but is durable and visible.

Some are pretty uneven and we had to flip to the ‘back’ to write on them. I used other chalk markers so can’t comment on the ones included. These are really nice and stand up great even in western NY weather.

I used for my fairy garden. They are sturdy and nice looking. The marker that comes with them is not great.
