This adapter was a perfect fit on all four of my M42 lenses and they seamlessly mounted to my Nikon D3400.Things to make sure you understand if you are looking at this adapter: First, there are no electrical contacts on the adapter, meaning that you will have a completely manual lens. You will need to operate the aperture and focus manually. Second, if you are intending to use this on a short aperture lens, it does add a small amount of thickness and for my short 28mm lens, it was a tiny bit too much. As a result, the 28mm is a great macro lens on the Nikon but cannot focus to infinity. Everything beyond about five feet (1.5m) is just a tiny bit out of focus, an issue the lens does not have on my Mamiya camera which has an M42 mount. As long as you understand these issues and are willing to deal with them, the adapter is a great tool to expand your lens collection when you stumble across deals on a useful lens that fills a void in your current bag. It also expands the usefulness of your lenses if you shoot multiple brands of vintage cameras.

This with the 2" tube works perfect with my Nikon Z50 with the Nikon F adaptor on it.

This Fotasy M42 to Nikon F mount was delivered in perfect condition, it was well made and works great in my application. I would not hesitate to buy it again when needed!

It fits the screw mount lens and the camera. The portion you grip when mounting to the camera is narrow and smooth, making it impossible for me to properly mount on the camera and I don't have weak hands. The direction it turns to mount is the same direction that loosens the threaded lens so there is no way to get any extra leverage. I worry that if I do get it on the camera I'd never get it off.

I ordered this adapter to fit a Takuma 50mm f1.4 M42 lens onto my N/F -> E mount speed booster -> Sony Fs5.I have a standard m42-Nik adapter that works fine with the 50, but when I use this adapter on the speed booster, it, unfortunately, changes the maximum focal range to about 6 feet, rendering the lens pretty useless.Does anyone know if I need a different kind of adapter? Am I breaking some law of physics? Very confused.

I bought this because it was half the price of any other T ring. The overall quality of the product is excellent. It fits Nikon cameras very well without being too loose or being overly tight. The product is completely blackened with no shiny parts to reflect light internally along the optic path. The mounting orientation to the camera is indicated by a red dot. I've coupled this with a Celestron T-adapter and the fit is excellent. The connection is over several complete turns of the barrel screw threads. I took 1 star off only because one of the 3 set screw locking screws is defective and can't be advanced or backed off with the allen wrench that was provided. As this is not a critical issue and because the other two screws work fine I would not hesitate purchasing this and simply replace the screw or not even use it.

I needed to replace my lost T-Mount to connect my Nikon D4 to an 8" SCT. The T-Mount works well and I didn't need the extra force that others described with some T-Mounts. This one went on smoothly with a confirmation 'click' when I reached the set screw that prevented the mount from rotating all the way around. If I have one comment is that the set screw that stops the mount at the stop position is silver and it protrudes all the way into the inside of the ring. It would be nice if it was black although I haven't noticed any stray light from it.

This is made of metal and of good quality! I use it with a 1970's foot long 400mm lens on my D3200 with no problems at all! It is well worth the price and opens up a world of possibilities for those of us who are not rich and still want to experiment with tele photo! I paid $60 for a nice 400mm Japanese made lens on EBay and it is the best lens I got! Of course I don't own any Canon L lenses or any Nikkor lenses that cost anywhere near a grand, but thanks to this Adapter I don't have to! For the Wedding photographer this is no good as you lose Auto mode in your Camera, but for tele photo work and wildlife photography it is the Bee's knee's! I love manual setting F stop and focus as it just makes me a better photographer!
