This product will not keep its shape. The stopper for the cable that runs through the beads does not hold up to tension and the cable slips through it.

I had one of this style years ago, and it work great, I wish I could find it. This one won't hold it's shape when locked. Very disappointing.

I recommend this product come with clip at work end, to give it multi use options.

Worked well for setting the wheel bearing run-out on my car. It is a little bit hard to get the holder tip close to the base and locked at the same time. It does tend to straighten out when it is tensioned for locking.
