The ad states 900lb rated...but the tag on purchased unit states 700lb....Note this is the soft red throw bag....not the hard yellow throw device

This "Safety Throw" is NOT a "Superior alternative to fabric throw bags!"The case of this thing is made out of hard plastic and it should NOT be thrown to anybody who needs rescuing.Trust me, I got about 15,000 white water miles under my belt and this would be dangerous to throw at someone in the river...It would probably be good for being towed behind a boat but DON'T THROW THIS AT ANYBODY
