Ich suchte als Frau , einen Protektor für den Downhill und Bikeparks. Hier sind die Rippen perfekt mit geschützt. Das war mir wichtig und dies machte dieser Protektor am besten von allen dieser Klasse. Auch die Belüftung war gut.Nur war er eben deutlich schwerer als der von der Firma L. Viel Schutz hat eben einen Preis.Für sehr zarte Frauen , oder Frauen mit großer Oberweite würde ich ihn vermutlich eher nicht empfehlen.Wahrsch ist dieser eher im enduro Bereich oder bei 20m Sprüngen empfehlenswert.

... as others already pointed out the shoulder protectors attachment to the body is really flimsy. I had a minor crash (not a single scratch on the armor) and the right protector was gone. Still have the triceps protector as it attaches to the arm with a strap, but the shoulder is gone.Now I need to spend $25 on a brand new $240 vest if I want to have protection on the right shoulder. And I want, and it sucks...Other than that the product is stunning. Really comfy besides it's bulkiness. Didn't impede me any movements. Fortunately I didn't have the occasion to "test it in depth" but it feels real solid, very adjustable and overall seems to me the best protection you can have both for the chest, the spine and everything in between (rib cage) which was my main decision factor in favor of other lighter models (felt sideways last year and broke 3 ribs) where the ribs remain exposedAs it completely covers your torso it makes you sweat easily. Not that it sticks or becomes uncomfortable at all but you definitely notice to be hotter than wearing just a tee (quite obvious btw). So far I used entirely on a couple of bike parks, where everything was downhill. however trying to find a head trail I missed had to climb a short but steep run. On the top of the extra warmth there is the added weight. I would not recommend it at all if you need to actively pedal. Pretty obvious too, but just to take into account.Hope it helps and hope Fox listens and learn from this to round up the product.

This protector outshines most with the wrap around side protection. After fracturing a rib, few protectors offer good side protection like this one. High quality, expensive but it is worth it. If you want to survive the crash and keep riding. Buy this vest, you will be happy you did!!

I love the comfort and the protection but one of the shoulder pads broke off during only my second time riding. This is a common problem with the Raptor units so I'm sending this one back.
