I got these to replace my mastercraft 12:5” planer blades. Model 055-5503-4Fit perfect and installed fine. These are nice and sharp and came packaged properly, blades had some oil on them so that’s good. I like the double sided blade since I won’t have to buy more so quickly. Happy with the purchase.

I bought these to turn into strikers for ferro rods in my fire-starting kit. I'll cut them into smaller pieces and epoxy them into wood handles I make. The sharpened edges scrape sparking/burning shavings off of the ferro rod which ignite tinder really well. The striker is they key to raising good sparks.I'm impressed that these come oiled, wrapped in parchment paper, and packaged in a plastic case for safekeeping. They are dangerously sharp - a good thing, but the protection not only keeps them safe, but keeps people around them safe as well.I don't own a planer, so I'm afraid I can't comment on the intended use for these.

These came nice and straight and sharp.They came in a simple plastic protective case and inside of that in wax paper and inside of that a light oil. So these are well protected for shipment and will not be rusty or damaged when you get them.These worked great for my planer.
