I don't write reviews very often, but I have to say this jacket is really nice. I'm very impressed by it.It's soft inside with nice, sturdy material on the outside that's water resistant when it's sleeting with wet snow.There are thick velcro strips on the sides that make the jacket stay on securely. My dog definitely loves it and stays warm. When it's really cold I add a fleece layer under it. When I put my hand under the jacket I can feel her body heat even without the extra fleece layer. But when I add the fleece layer she's nice and toasty.It looks cute on her too. I get lots of complements when ever I'm out with her on the trail and at dog parks.This may be the best purchase I've ever made on amazon!

Ordered this and another size, one for each of my dogs. The first time they were both one size too large. Loved the quality and since the smaller coat of the first set fit my bigger dog perfectly, I returned them and ordered one size down.This is the first time that I got coats that actually went to their tails... and their backs aren't that long. One is a muscular 30 lb Boston terrier French bulldog mix (got size medium) and the other a too skinny 17 lb Boston terrier (got size small).My dog's aren't super fans of the leg straps, they're a little bit too tight IMO, but the coats work fine without them strapped on. I love having two Velcro closures. I usually leave one connected when I take off and put on. Slide one leg in and the close the other side. The Velcro is very good when lined up correctly. If you have a long haired dog, you'll probably want to put this coat on with both Velcros closed.I don't find the hole for the collar lines up right, but that seems typical. There's also not enough room for the harness underneath, and it's to much work to resize their current games to work on the outside, so we may get harnesses just to use with these coats.The pink is highly reflective all over. The navy blue only the trim seems reflective, but it's still easy to see at night if you have a flashlight.

I have a 19 pound full grown pomsky; she doesn’t need a coat for the warmth but I don’t want her to get wet, we’re in upstate New York. It fits her perfectly, got her a medium but it’s a real PITA putting it on her. It’s not complicated or difficult just a hassle.I purposely didn’t get one with a built in harness like her sisters have, she’s a half husky by design but a full husky as far as being an escape artist so I wanted a coat with a harness hole so I can keep her in her “escape proof harness”. I think that’s why there’s no zipper or anything, you have to put it over her head, pull her arms through and then do the straps around the back legs (that’s a bonus but it’s still a pain).We have 3 dogs (Abbey Road, Penny Lane and Eleanore “Ellie” Rigby) Abbey and Penny’s coats have the built in harness, it takes roughly 1 min to get them both in their coats. Ellie has this coat and it takes me at least 5 minutes just to get her dressed. Not a huge deal for their afternoon and evening walks but the first one of the day when they’re all crossing their legs, it gets stressful.However, she looks adorable in it.

The coat is well made, offering full coverage. I like the belly coverage while allowing room for necessary potty use. My Chiweenie also has tail and full back coverage with this coat. The velcro allows full neck coverage. The zipper allows more room to put the coat on over the head. The insulation is very soft and warm. Back straps are a little long, will need to be adjusted with a couple of tucks to shorten. Simple fix. The side velcro, both sides, is very helpful in putting on the coat. It secures the coat well and is very effective. My Chiweenie is very cooperative so it was not a problem. An excellent purchase! I will be using this well made, very warm coat for the upcoming New England harsh winter. I ordered medium, dark green, for a 13 lb Chiweenie, length 14, neck 13, belly 16, chest 18. Good fit. Well made, very warm coat. Stays in place when my dog walks. Great value. Very happy with this purchase!

My doodle is long and lean: 16.5” neck, 24” chest, and 24.5” body. Plus, we live in the upper Midwest where cold weather is a serious issue. I purchased an X-large. Because this coat has various adjustment straps (one long velcro strap on each side of the torso and one at the collar), it could be fitted to provide snug coverage almost to the tail. This coat is well-constructed and easy to put on/off. It provides full chest, throat, and torso coverage. Two elastic straps secure the coat to each hind leg; front leg openings secure the coat in the front. It was worn on a windy, cold day (single digit temps) and kept her warm, comfortable, and frisky during a 20-minute walk. It remained secure even when she rolled in the snow. The reflective piping is vibrant and easily seen. (It lit up the coat in our living room at night!) It would be wonderful if manufacturers would design a “long” version of their coats for long, lean breeds, but in the absence, this coat fits, is warm and cozy, and of quality workmanship.

Bodie just turned 17...and his old bones needed a warmer, waterproof jacket here in the North/Central mountains of Idaho. Good quality. It is easy to put on him (once I figured it out LOL) and take off. It is adjustable around the neck which really helps. The reflective trim is real helpful in the dark (we don't do leashes on our acreage so Bodie & his pack of dogs tend to wander). So far, it does keep him dry and warm enough. It covers his whole back too. I don't use the leg straps, but they are there. I would recommend this jacket for your fur babies.
