All Mats are made from 100% virgin alpha-cellulose surface paper, core, and backing paper.
The outer mat size equals the picture size of the frame in which the mat will be installed (e.g., 16x20 mat for 12x16 picture will fit in a 16x20 inch frame exactly).
The mat opening is for your desired display picture (e.g., 16x20 mat for 12x16 picture will display a 12x16 picture).
The picture display area is slightly smaller than the picture size by 0.5 inch, for holding purposes (e.g., the 16x20 mat for 12x16 picture has an image display area of 11.5 x 15.5 inch).

I have several of those collage type frames, with many 4x6 inch openings, I used these so that I could use 3x5 inch photos in the collage as well - works great, looks very classy

These are amazing just what I was looking for. I didn’t know it was so hard to find 11 x 14 frames with a 5 x 7 matting. That don’t have a thick frame.Unfortunately, the mats were too thick for the thin frames I purchased.

I was very pleased with this product. They are well made, not flimsy and worked perfectly for what I needed. They arrived quickly and were packaged well. None were bent or damaged. They looked just as nice as the ones I purchase at the frame shop and were half the price.

These particular 4 x 6 mats helped me to display old family photos in a collage form by allowing me to get around the problem of using just 4 x 6 photos. Older photos come in various sizes and these mats allowed me to fit them into a 4 x 6 collage frame. My older photos fit into the category of 2 1/2 x 4 1/2 or the reverse. It gave them a finished look when displayed.

The white picture matting is of fantastic quality. They also fit in the 8x10 frames perfectly and provide a perfect matting for the 4x6 photos. My complaint is I was to receive 10 and only had 6! The uncertainty of how many buyers will receive makes these a risky purchase not to mention totally messed up my project.
