This rolling stool works great. It's surprisingly comfy to sit in, thanks to a sturdy back and a thickly padded seat. That padding is about 3 inches, a lot more than a regular office chair. This makes it comfortable to sit normally in, while still being able to move around or lean over. Calling it a drafting chair is a bit much. At maximum, the seat reaches 22.5 inches. For me, this is almost a regular chair height. Nevertheless, this little chair makes it easier to move around. Also, I like that the surfaces can be cleaned up without worrying about staining the fabric.

There are two main kinds of tall drafting chairs - the ones that look like tall office chairs, and this type which is a tall padded bar stool with back support. For my needs, the bar-stool style work perfectly. It isn't intended to be used for hours at a time at a desk -- this is more for working on a tall surface for shorter stints, such as when preparing food, using an easel, or drawing on a drafting table.This particular chair is very well-made. The fit-and-finish is excellent. The leatherette covering to the seat and back are flawless, and attached solidly. The round seat foam is firm, which is how it should be for this type of chair.Assembly was very easy. Clear instructions in full color are provided, along with a strong Allen wrench for securing the five bolts used.The only negative thing I can say about this chair is that it comes with the usual cheap plastic caster wheels which are fine overall, but don't roll as well as I'd like. However, it is the standard office chair size, so I will likely replace them with the solid rubber type of wheels, which I currently use on both of my main office chairs.If a bar-stool style tall stool serves a purpose in your household or office, this stool is definitely a recommended option.
