If you have ever nailed wire fence to wood posts by hand you would rate this as a dream tool! Set your posts, tension your fence, and in seconds per post you're done! Wasn't sure about the quality of the tool because I had not heard of the brand before. Just as tough as Senco and of course priced as a fraction of the high priced tools. Of course, you'll have to tow along a portable compression unless you have AG equipment with a bolt on. Sure beats a hammer though!

This thing will whap a fence staple in like it's nothing. I stapled up a 400' stretch of 4' pasture fencing by myself in about 2 hours. The prep of stretching the fence and getting everything ready to staple took much longer. I used over 500 staples and I shudder to think how long it would've taken hammering them in by hand, and how many smashed thumbs and fingers I would have. I'm strong enough to use the gun with one hand but there is an auxiliary handle if you need it. With a helper to hold the fencing, a person could use two hands to use it, which would be easier. The recoil is pretty strong but don't fight it, and if your hand is on the wire when the staple is driven it can sting. It is very easy to adjust the depth and the allen key is supplied. With pasture fencing, some staples need to be tight but most are left loose and this is easy to accomplish. I setup a gasoline generator to power my compressor on a trailer behind my golf cart. I also mounted a retractable air line to make it easy to move as I went along. Very efficient, and very fast. I have many hundreds of feet to do yet but I am looking forward to it. I highly recommend this gun.

I loved that with just the pull of a trigger I can put a staple in. If I was using a hammer I would have to hit the staple multiple times. The unit is heavy and takes strong arms and wrists to use.

Great fence stapler. Works just as expected. I have only used it once so far, but took me less than an hour to put in several hundred Staples. With a hammer, I would have been there for several hours and would have likely hit my fingers over a dozen times... Lol...I was most worried about the air requirement, but fortunately it doesn't need much more air than an air nailer. I bought a DeWalt 60v battery powered air compressor to use with this and the combination is great. With the battery powered compressor I don't have to worry about have power in remote areas that I am fencing. Battery seems to last plenty of time on a charge to drive several hundred Staples. This item is expensive and the Staples are expensive, but iny option it is worth the cost. The time saved I believe will pay for itself with my first fence project, which I am getting close to finishing up.

The stapler worked great! We did 1600 feet of fencing with it. It is very easy to clear when it does jam but it only did it maybe 3 times through the whole project! (Almost 2000 staples)

I had some fencing repair and a new chicken yard to help my neighbor build. The heavy duty galvanized staples were the way to go. If you ever fussed hammering those, you'd know a pneumatic tool is the way to go. Using it is great once you learn its peculiarities. First, make sure you use a good air tool oil from the get go. Second, this unit is pressure sensitive. Great at 90psi, cycling problems at 80psi. Third, the latch for refilling the magazine isn't machined to a tolerance that will give you reliability. Don't let the picture fool you. This is probably the largest nailer type tool out there and the side handle is there for a reason. It's a framing nailer on steroids. Although a normal "contractor" grade small 2-5 gallon compressor will work, it's an air hog. It's important for the compressor to maintain the proper pressure. I'm looking for a remote solution to work fencing with my Gator. So far it will be a CO2 solution.

The PFS9 Stapler is nice looking and appears well made. It comes in a nice plastic storage box with a set of allen wrenches and an oil bottle. From the factory, this will drive staples slightly below the wood surface, which will cut the wire. The owners manual suggests setting the depth of drive by adjusting the air pressure. I think this is a mistake as the staple depth will vary with wood density. I used the included allen wrench to adjust the nose piece to leave about 1/4 inch space under the staple. I used the 2-inch barbed ST-400 staples and the driver drove them easily in the 100 year old juniper test post. The driver piston appears to be the same size as a 3 1/2 inch framing nailer. I did not think that it kicked back that much and did not need to use the side mounted assist handle. This also gives you a free hand to hold the wire in place. The driver includes a rafter hook that mounts under the air inlet coupling. I don't know if it will be useful or be in the way and need to be removed.I'll update this review as I use the driver more.
