We know it can be hard to find the best friction mallets for your gongs, so we've put together some of our favorites for sound therapists, spiritual healers, percussionists, and general gongists who want to make whale sounds with their gongs.
The eGong Wand is made with silicone rubber, adding durability. It can create soft low notes and can build loud resonance as well. These mallets work great on Chinese gongs. They can be used on Paiste gongs, but they can leave residue or smearing, so they are best used on the back.
The Set of 3 Emil Richards Super Rub Mallets are made of rubber and they're really easy to use. They provide a range of tones and hours of experimentation with your gongs. We recommend using them on Chinese gongs as they can also leave residue on Paiste gongs.

For a 24 inch wind gong and these are smaller than expected but work just fine at this price around $50.

The rubber ball mallets so far are okay. However the e shaped friction mallet does not work what so ever an was tried on three different gong styles in every corner of each gone. NADA!!! NO SOUND!! GARBAGE!
